One of the most romantic italian"s lakes. Restaurant, Pizza, Lounge Bar, Beach in this new place owned by the Moia's and Bertinotti's Family.
Terrible way through .. from the parking or the Ponton .. itâs a nightmare reaching the placeService is confusing and totally unprofessional (although kind) .. on weekends forget it to get a normal restaurant service as events/special occasions are occupying the place .. when eventually fighting for some drives .. the food arrived .. and it was a disaster .. So sad .. the place is great .. the legitimacy of the Borgomanero Pinocchio is legendary.. but the result is appallingly disappointing

Restaurant & Bistrot, appetizer, wine bar, lunch and dinner, appetizers, cocktails.
We spent five days in Orta and had four meals at La Motta. They are closed on Tuesday! This is sufficient for two people to get through all of their menu. We loved everything! Food is great, wines are pretty good, service friendly and helpful. Not to be missed! Outdoor seating is lovely in summer, but there is plenty of room inside too-lots of character in the rooms.

A very upscale trattoria that could definitely compete with any upscale restaurant. Very good selection of appetizers, salumi, even foie gras. Classic Primi including, risotto with fungi porcini (in season), agnolotti etc. Wide selection of meat and some fish Secondi and a wide selection of local cheeses. Very good wine list with wines of some of the best producers in the Gattinara and Ghemme region. Overall, a very good dinner.

This is a lovely restaurant with great food and wonderful service. On arrival they offered us a complimentary glass of Prosecco. I highly recommend the prosciutto and the risotto with pear was divine. My husband had the black spaghetti with seafood which was very good. Also had local fish and veal. Very casual local place and lovely decor. The hotel recommended the restaurant and they were right. We shared a bottle of delicious gavi and bill was 130 euros. Excellent

One of few 3 stars micheline guide restaurant in Italy
I cannot praise the Al Sorriso team highly enough for their outstanding restaurant. Everything you could want from a most special evening was delivered. The traditional & classic atmosphere of the restaurant, the friendly and welcoming team, the enormous wine list and of course Louisa's food were all first class. We went for the Menu Classico which started with froie gras, went on to prawns, scallops, amazing pumpkin risotto, wonderful Piedmont beef, a cheese course to die for, a sorbet I cannot even describe and a pudding that was simply sublime. This is a traditional restaurant of the highest quality that delivers an evening to remember. We will be back!

Eat all at the same time (20.00 hours), eat all the same (nine courses). Perfect mix of informal setting and great food. Not sophisticated but genuine and top quality local ingredients. For just 30 Euros....Don't waste your time and money elsewhere unless you insist on having lake view.Adri

Welcome in our little, but lovely guesthouseYou are on the famous slope MOTTA, thousand-year-old entrance of Orta, in a wing of an old defense of the castle on the island, also nominated as âthe strong houseâ 500/600 before Chr.
A group of four of us visited as just down from the villa we were staying in. We ended up visiting twice over the week with both visits being perfect. Steak tartar was a particular favourite, although the fish and other courses were also excellent. The chocolate desert was beyond incredible. If ever anywhere near this restaurant it is a must visit. The staff were also brilliant, even although my Italian is awful they put up with me and understood my English without problems.

"Our passion for hospitality and restaurants have led us to treat this fascinating work with the love, respect and respect it so greatly deserves. Our innovative Mediterranean cuisine is distinctive and we love to pamper our guests in the romantic rooms o
Chef Cannavacciulo is one of the most famous chefs in Italy, a bigger-than-life character on the local Masterchef program. The celebrity status and frequent absence from the restaurant does not affect in any way the absolute excellence of any dish produced for the enjoyment of the guests, though. Traveling from south to north through the tasting menu will allow you to discover and enjoy the perfection of cooking techniques displayed by the talented and passionate team put together by the chef. However, the dishes from Campania on the a la carte menu are the ones that express the heart and soul of Chef Cannavacciulo. The best cuisine experience from a stay at La Villa Crespi will be enjoyed when two evenings are spent at the restaurant, one to discover the various features of the tasting menu, and the following one to get deeper into the life experience of the chef expressed in the cuisine from his home region. The sommelier is also very versatile and will know not only how to pair wines with dishes skillfully, but also how to sense what your wine affinities are to complete a more personal experience. Many team members are young and in development, but definitely with the capabilities and character to help the restaurant grow towards perfection...

We just had an unbelievably good 7 course meal for 20 people from our golf society, the wine was excellent and all at a fantastic price. We will definitely be going back again. The family and staff running the restaurant are wonderful. If you are in or near Borgomanero, do yourself a favour and give them a call. Can't rate the place highly enough.Danny CumminsPresident, International Golf Society of Zug

We walked down to this lovely restaurant to check it out one evening (its a 15 minute walk from Soriso central). The staff speak very little English and our Italian is worse! However we were made very welcome, we had drinks and looked at the menu, they brought us some yummy snacks to have with our drink and we agreed to return a few days later to eat. (Total cost for a large glass of prosecco and one beer was â¬5 with delicious canapés for free!)We went back with the 6 in our party - all prepared, having photographed their menu and then translated it at home. The owner agreed bring us a range of antipasti to share - we had delicious little soufflé/tarts (2 types), ham with melon and also seared tuna. We followed this with various yummy pasta or risotto dishes and were then too full to eat more. Several glasses of wine plus a few beers, soft drinks for the children and then coffees were all consumed. Then complimentary limoncello was provided and free ice creams for the youngsters - our total bill was â¬170. A great fun evening with delicious food, despite the language barriers!
