We returned to Avli and had another great meal. The Saganaki is always tasty ($8.50). The DIN Beet Salad (13), Tzatziki (7) and Spetzofai (11) were also very good per my fellow diners. The Zucchine chips (11) seems a bit expensive though they were tasty. My wife always enjoys the mini rack lamb (29). The Chicken Souvlaki (16) and Poseidon Plate (24) and Beef Souvlakia (22) were all very good. Drinks were $10-16 each (Bacardi $16). All in, the bill for 5 guests was $267.60 plus tip, which feels a bit heavy but the food is always great. Service was good overall. The server forgot an order of broccoli despite being reminded once.Parking on the street is easy.

Itâs really hard to find a kosher restaurant in the Chicagoland area. That being said if you want shawarma or falafel this is your place. They serve Israeli style kosher food in a very low key atmosphere. My husband loves that he can eat meat out.

Been here several times. Always excellent. Lots of food on your plate. Meats are freshly cooked unlike some other places that serve lukewarm, precooked items. I get a platter which includes rice/bulgher, salad, and an appetizer such as hummus, taboulleh, or baba ghanous. . They offer a $5 lunch special but no substitutions are allowed.

My family (four of us) Arrived at the restaurant about ten minutes before opening time, and the manager let us in. We had time to review the menu and make our choices. We found the food to be delightful. The restaurant operates on a basis similar to Chipotle: base plate, then lots of "sides" to choose from. My dish was the salmon kebab, my daughter had the lamb meatballs, my wife and son each had the chicken kebab. The food was fresh, hot and flavored just right: spicy where it was supposed to be, mild but tasty where it was supposed to be more delicately flavored. The bread was fresh and warm, and the sauces were delightfully spiced. The restaurant was clean and bright (it was relatively new, I understand). Portions were generous...we were very satisfied when we left. This is apparently a new chain, growing. The manager was kind enough to chat with us about the new branches and plans to open more. We were in Northbrook for the day, which is about 1.25 hours from home. I hope they open in Naperville soon. It's a good restaurant. We fed all four of us for $51.07, including drinks. There are more and less expensive items on the menu, including some wraps that were tempting. The mint iced tea was very good, but the hit in the beverage department was the berry-flavored drink. Free refills by the way. No table service; get your food at the counter and take it to your seat. The place was busy by the time we were finished (close to the noon hour on a Friday), so apparently it has caught on in Northbrook! We would definitely go there again.
