We live in Glen Cove and have been coming here for years. The owners have been opening other restaurants in Nassau County and I've noticed a drop off in service lately but still otherwise good. This is not the best Turkish food I've ever had (Bosphorus in Winter Park, FL takes that honor) but it is consistently fresh and tasty. My favorite dishes include Lamb Kebobs (pictured), Iskender Kebob and the chicken gyro...which is also available on the kids menu.

Escape to Greece at Vilai. Glen Cove's newest Greek Mediterranean Seafood restaurant, located just steps away from the LIRR. Upon arrival you are greeted and welcomed "like family" by the owner and staff. Featuring an extensive winelist, creamy whipped sp
Totally underwhelming. Went on a weeknight. Service good, but loud music inhibited table conversation. High prices puts very little on the plate. Black Sea Bass for 2 was $58. Could barely feed 1. Lobster Risotto was $19, consisting of a bowl of risotto and very small bits of lobster. They even charge $9 for tzatziki, where often at places like this itâs complementary. This being Glen Cove, I give it 1 year tops. Then donât be surprised when the losses pile up, it closes and another restaurant takes itâs place.

Went with friends to Meritage for the 1st time on a Friday night. Server and host very friendly but they do have some growing pains to work out as a new restaurant. Cheese and meat appetizers were fine. Entrees were just ok. Pork chop and pasta dish were good but the vegetable paella was dry, and the small plate filet migon had an odd freezer type flavor to it. The wait staff though friendly need more experience as they forgot most of our drink orders and were awkward serving the dishes to the table. All and all I think the restaurant has potential but would benefit from more focus on wait staff service and quality of food.
Where to eat American food in Glen Cove: The Best Restaurants and Bars
A small Greekrrsyautant in the heart of the city of Glen Cove. Very plain, nothing fancy setting but youget good service & good fresh food. Prices are reasonable & you can eat there or take out. They have a nice selection of Greek food, as well as pizza, some sandwiches. Very tasty thick steak fries. Greek salad nice & fresh, tasty fresh made pita. Been there several times & everyone always seems to enjoy their food around me.

Place is a scene on a Thursday night. All absolutely beautiful people...must be singles scene. Very loud though. The lamb shank was really good. And the giaganta beans were really great. Great service. Always a good place, but Thursdays are packed. Fun people watching
