Geleen (Dutch pronunciation: [ɣəˈleːn]; Limburgish: Gelaen) is a city in the southern part of the province of Limburg in the Netherlands. With 33,960 inhabitants, it is part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. Geleen is situated along the river Geleenbeek, a right tributary to the river Meuse. The Latin name for Geleenbeek is Glana, meaning "clear river". The town centre is situated at about 60 m above sea level.

Ondanks de extreme hitte hebben we toch mogen genieten van de heerlijke lunch bij Osteria Cellini. De carpaccio was supervers en de uitgebalanceerde olie hield het gerecht licht. De lasagne van aubergine was ook heel mooi en smaakvol. Leuk detail was dat er op de cocktailkaart een wiskey sour vermeld stond en toen wij om een amaretto sour vroegen, die niet op de kaart stond, dat geen enkel probleem was. Het hoofdgerecht de pasta met Vongole, mosselen en scampi's ook helemaal vers en in balans. Evenals de parpadella met ragu. Het enige minpuntje was dat de temperatuur zo hoog was dat we niet op het gezellige terras konden plaatsnemen. Maar dat kunnen we niemand kwalijk nemen. We komen zeker terug als de temperaturen weer wat aangenamer zijn.

Well situated in the old part of the village this Italian restaurant serves good food at acceptable prices . owner is a local lady , there is a very cosy terrace garden at the rear and on the front is also a small terrace .

Het beste van 2 werelden: gezellig iets drinken en/of heerlijk lunchen/dineren. Dat kan allemaal. Lekker borrelen met ons trio van vleeswaren geserveerd met brood en tapenades, bitterballen of olijven is ook heerlijk op ons prachtige markt.

Scallops as starter, hake with pasta cooked in a lobster broth, and an amazingly succulent ossobuco....the cook(s) of Gastrobar 1677 deserve praise for the flavours and textures! The food is very well presented at very affordable prices. So far so good. The only negative point can be made towards the staff. Well presented, cordial, but very slow. Sadly enough they lack the drive to match the level of the food. So my advise: Ignore the staff's lack of focus, and simply endure the wait for your food and drinks. It is worth it!

Although the fresh interior was promising, the new menu is very different.I think they aim for a less traditional Greek menu, more Mezedes (Tapas-like) approach.I expect they will attract a different group of people with that. Not sure if that's us...Thanks for your review...We are trying to overcome the standart "Greek" kitchen that is presented in Europe, and bring in more and more traditional Greek food, what we serve as Meze, what is more commen in Greece than meat and fries...I hope we will welcome you back, and impress you with our new setup..Greetings

If you ask for restaurant recommendation in Sittard market square, the locals will most likely suggest MEDS. I went there a few times. The menu is not that extensive, just like many local restaurants, but it never bothers me. Each time, I opt for the surprise menu. You can choose 3 or 4 course set, tell the waiter what you DONT LIKE. The rest is up to the Chef. So I usually have starter, main course and dessert. Each time I walk out feeling full and satisfied. The portion is generally bigger than I need so I hardly can finish the dessert. The dishes are beautifully presented and Creative. Food quality is 8/10. Service 7/10. Highly recommended.

Went out for dinner with our company (large group) at Il Trattamento. We shared the meals family style. Great selection of starters, followed by various pizza, pasta and finally a dessert. Waitresses are friendly, with food and drinks coming round pretty quick. Tiramisu was delicious! Weâll be back...

Reeds lang bestaande zaak(meer dan 35jaar) waar nog een heerlijk broodje shoarma wordt geserveerd met 3 sauzen. Ligt aan de Rijksweg in Geleen in het centrum. Geen gratis parkeerplaatsen overdag maar na 18u wel behalve koopavonden. Van alle shoarma tenten die wij geprobeerd hebben is dit wel de standaard. Wij hebben geen lekkerder shoarmarestaurant kunnen vinden. Altijd plaats binnen zonder reserveren. Uitermate geschikt om snel een lekker broodje shoarma te eten. Verder kun je hier natuurlijk veel meer krijgen , ook frites en fricandellen etc maar die heb ik hier niet geprobeerd.Bij mijn weten elke dag geopend vanaf 16u. Mengeling van stijlen nl Egyptisch,Turks,pizza,frites ,spare ribs, vegetarisch. Ga alleen om te genieten van het eten. Dit is géén romantisch restaurant of restaurant met sfeer !

Voor â¬25 (in het weekend) onbeperkt tapas eten. De kaart is erg uitgebreid en er is dus veel keus qua vlees, vis, of vegetarische tapas. We hebben vrij veel verschillende gerechtjes geprobeerd en de meeste waren heel lekker. Een paar waren iets minder, maar er zat niks tussen wat echt niet lekker was. Wij waren dus aangenaam verrast. Personeel is vriendelijk en de bediening gaat vrij vlot. Je vult zelf een kaartje in met welke tapas je per ronde wilt hebben en je beslist zelf wanneer je dit kaartje afgeeft, dus je kunt zelf bepalen of je langzaam of âsnelâ wilt eten. Wij komen zeker nog eens terug!
