We have had several meals at the tavern and keep wanting to come back. Itâs a lovely place near the beach, great ambiance, affordable and delicious local cuisine, friendly staff.

We ate here twice last month and both times were excellent. The setting is lovely and the atmosphere so relaxed. The service was friendly and the taverna is also very popular with locals which is also a good sign.All the food was superb but a special mention of the perfectly cooked on the barbecue pork tenderloin served with a delicious sauce (Lakka I think it was called or something similar) which was gorgeous.Thank you to everyone at the Golden Sunset for helping us create more lovely memories of our time in Falasarna and we will definitely be back.

Being very close to Falasarna beach this is very good place to finish the day. Large variety of fishes served in multiple ways. But I would not recommend grilled dishes. It has very nice kid's place.

The tavern is located up to the beach of Falassarna. The spot has many parking lots. The view about the bay is amazing.The food was excellent by quality, cooking, size and taste.Very friendly service. Nice place to stay and have lunch or dinner.

Went here for my birthday, the bartender was very chatty and a genuinely nice guy. He made us personalised cocktails which were amazing, and free shots. Only bar in Kissamos that stays open until 2am, and is great if youâre young as well as more mature. Great view and a cool, classy venue.

My husband and I were spending the day at Falassarna Beach and decided to venture up the hill for lunch away from the beach. We read reviews before coming and thought that this place looked good so we thought we would check it out. We ordered some ice cold beers and I had the Grilled Squid which was AMAZING! It came with half a lemon to drizzle over the dish and it was just so good! My husband tried a dish that was some sort of grilled meatballs stuffed with feta cheese. It came with a side of fresh cut fries and was absolutely delicious! We finished the meal up with 2 espressos and a couple of little icecreams on a stick to cool us off, which I am pretty sure they brought complimentary for us. It was a really nice meal, with an amazing panoramic view! And it was nice and quiet and private since we ate in the afternoon well after lunch time. There was only 1 other couple eating near us. Couldn't ask for more!

I was this summer at Gilisma and i found it perfect. I left this place but for sure the next year i will came back. The food was excellent for my taste,perfect view and lovely people. Elvis see you soon and thank you for all that you have done for us.

Lunch with family on the way back to Chania after a pleasant morning by the very nice beach. Extra extra extra large portions of extremely well cooked food. The baby lamb with potatoes cooked in the traditional wooden oven was so delicious. Prices below average and certainly lower than the services offereD. Very kind and polite staff, breathless view. Its like having lunch in an airplane and looking from the window the beaches of Falassarna.

Always receive a genuinely warm welcome. The food is great, fresh and plentiful. Had a lovely walnut and cheese salad, mousaka and the tastiest lamb chops ever. Cooked perfectly! Bravo!
