Well we saw the restaurant and from the outside we were unsure. The daily menu looked good (we vaguely managed to translate it) inside it looked clean and spacious. What a wonderful surprise it was. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful as was the wine and for a very reasonable price. We've returned a couple of times during our short break in Elda. It's embarrassing not knowing the Spanish language but the staff have been brilliant and helpful.I recommend eating here when you're in the area. It's a short train ride from Alicante.

I am Chairman of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club in Spain. On July 14th 2013, the JEC Spain visited La Torreta, 20 classic cars. La Torreta did us proud. We totalled 40 people which took over a large part of the restaurant. Restaurant La Torreta went to exceptional efforts to make this event a success and I must thank Simona and register our appreciation for such a terrific day. The food was fabulous and for a price that was excellent value for money. We started with a plate of sliced fried cheese on a bed of thinly sliced tomato drizzled in olive oil, followed by deep fried Boquerónâs (small fishes), then Sepia a la plancha, the tenderest griddled squid you have ever tasted. A choice of main course was offered, slow cooked shoulder of lamb (the house speciality), entrecote steak, sea bass with cava sauce, grilled hake, or for a small supplement either a fillet (solomillo) steak (the best you will get anywhere) or a Chuleton Steak (T Bone) a huge piece of prime beef. A selection of deserts were then offered as well as good strong coffee. Wines consisted of El Cotto 2008 for the red, Olite for the rose and a very pleasing little Riesling for the white or for those who wanted it endless beer.. All this for 23 Euros which offered our members exceptional value for money. Some members have already said we must repeat this event again in the not too distant future. In the past we have only eaten at La Torreta as a couple or with a small group of friends. This event was a test for the restaurant, 40 people turning up at one time, all I can say is "They Excelled Themselves" - so just to say, for just a nice lunch or dinner or that special event, for the money, La Torreta is hard to beat.

We had lunch here last month. The receptionist at our hotel recommended Vidi and we had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is off the main road and through several smaller streets, automatic glass doors at the entrance with male and female characters etched onto the glass doors. Neither of the servers understood much English and our Spanish is pretty limited so we left it up to them to give us what they thought and we weren't disappointed, we had wonderful tender fillet steak with goose liver, spicy chicken and hams. We were among the first to arrive and hadn't booked a table but within half an hour the place was full. Food was excellent, fresh, tasty - wines were not brilliant but drinkable and cheap. Will return on my next trip

The best place in the area to taste a wide variety of hamburgers, nachos, tacos and many other delicacies, skillfully fusing flavors of America with our traditional Mediterranean essence. Tasty and filling dishes from the owners Josan and Angela.Exceptional cooking with a familiar and pleasant treatment in the heart of Elda.

Closed for vacaciones Day 12 to August 21 We open day 22 from 7:30 p.m.
The food is fresh and the cook is really strict with the plates he serves. Make sure you reserve a table as it is a small place. There is a bit of understaff in the kitchen, however the quality is the worth the wait. The service was not that good, the waiter seemed just started working that evening.

Restaurante Ãntimo de cocina mediterránea fusión. Tapas - Carnes a la Piedra - Menú del dÃa - Menús para grupos. Ubicado en la Gran Avenida de Elda, con amplia terraza, y dos salones interiores.
Being that Valentine's Day fell on a Tuesday this year we decided to celebrate it the following weekend, like many others, so that we could have a late night out without having to bother to wake up early the following morning. I have reviewed this restaurant on many occasions and each one has been very positive. It's our favourite dining location in Elda. The staff are friendly, courteous and helpful and all the dishes are presented in an appetizing mannerThe Valentine's Day menu consisted of four small appetizers and a main meal choice of fish or meat followed by a dessert. It was set at 50 euros a couple including wine or beer in abundance. We were serenaded by a very talented local vocalist who provided an entertaining repertoire of love songs for the occasion.Thank you very much for your comment and visit our restaurant. Your comment is our best Tip. I would let you know that at last we have our menu in english! after 8 years... ;)

Unique restaurant, see the photographs. We call it "The Ice Palace", you can see why. Food is exceptional and the service is "just right" They offer a wide range of dishes. Everything we have had during our many visits has been delicious and beautifully presented. We are always made to feel very special. Not easy to find but well worth the effort. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. Booking is highly recommended especially at weekends.

Some friends who live locally introduced us to this restaurant and we've been several times, both at lunch and in the evening. The place itself is modern, light and airy, situated within a park and the glass walls give lovely views which change dependent on the seasons. They have a good choice of dishes, which also reflect the seasons and we don't always look at the menu as our friends will often order sharing platters after discussion with the waiter. You don't have to eat in the restaurant as there's also a bar and terrace where you can enjoy tapas. It's always busy but the service is good and we've always thoroughly enjoyed the food which I'd say traditional Spanish with a modern twist. They seem to have got potion sizes right as there's usually nothing left on the plates, but save some room for a sweet as they're a delight too.One friend introduced me to camomile tea with a kick........Pernod.......good for digestion after the meal and a real treat for the taste buds if you like aniseed as I do :-)
