Lovely location, friendly staff. Not much English spoken but not a problem. We all enjoyed our meal here but very few non-fish options. Nice to eat later in the evening after a couple of pre-dinner drinks at the nearby cafe bars. Not bad value and good fresh produce, this was one of the busier restaurants even in low season.

We took advice from previous reviewers and arrived shortly after 9pm before the rush and were warmly greeted and given menus in English. The waiter went through the menu and made recommendations which was very helpful. The food was amazing - everything we had was delicious but our favourite was the pork skillet cooked in orange wine. The staff are attentive and helpful and the food very reasonably priced. We went back again during our 10 day stay in El Rompido as we enjoyed it so much. There is also a shop inside the restaurant selling local produce - if you visit go and have a look. This is a must visit restaurant in El Rompido.

We enjoyed this incredibly busy, noisy, humming restaurant enormously. The windows have refrigerated shelves displaying some of the exciting clams, goose barnacles, whelks, lobster, crayfish, oysters and prawns of all shapes, sized and colours ... in short it was the best meal we've had in Lisbon.

The food here is reasonably priced and delicious. It is family run, typical food of the area and I eat here frequently and they have always served delicious home cooked food. I recommend their home made albóndigas de chocos they are delicious - I have tried everything on their menu - other restaurants in the area may be elegant but this one wins hands down for quality and flavour. You have to know the menu to pick well but the waiters are helpful and will guide you. Try it- it's reasonable and I guarantee you will go back!

Went here lat night for a bite to eat with my father. Ordered the tomato & goats cheese salad, croquetas and the Arroz de Marisco. Everything was very nice. House Red wine was also very good. Service was polite and friendly. We'll definitely be back again.

Not far away from portugal and with a beautiful view, you will find Dona Gamba, a small tapas restaurant where you can eat fresh fried fish and patatras bravas (fried slices of potatoes with hot sauce). The view and the food is fresh and excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. We will go again. Try boquerones ( fried fresh anchovies), they are amazing!

Sat here for a couple of beers and really enjoyed it. It's right on the beach with a lovely sea view. The beers had a great price (1.50⬠for 1/2 pint!) and they also came with a snack. I imagine it a great place for cocktails in the evening sun. Thank you very much, we hope you come back and enjoy our meals too!!

The food was so good we came here two nights running. Excellent service and nicely furnished, the food was beautifully cooked. We had tomato salad with onions and tuna, followed by corvina (local fish) and creme bruilee. The standard of the cooking was excellent, simple yet tasty.Would definitely return.

My wife and I had a lovely dinner here on Friday evening. Thankfully the restaurant keeps 4 tables available each evening on a walk in basis as the restaurant was fully booked all weekend so either reserve a table in advance or arrive at 20:30 (opening time) we opted to seat in the outdoor terrace which is suitably covered by vines. Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu on the blackboards which are all in Spanish. There is an English menu as well however all the good dishes are written on the boards. We had the tuna carpaccio, hake bites, Grilled Squid, Tomato Salad and cheesecake for dessert (postre) washed down with a crisp dry white wine. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and was full to the brim, you can why this is busy every night. There is also a fresh fish counter for you to go and look at and choose your fish I would highly recommend La Botanica for a lovely dining experience
