Our philosophy echoes that of the Italian Bacari - that the simple pleasures are the most important for our health and wellbeing. Good wine, delicious food and the company of friends are the recipe for a life well lived. Relax with us and enjoy a few Chic
To celebrate a friends birthday 12 of us visited for brunch, the restaurant helpfully contacted us in advance and suggested that rather than pre-order which is always tricky to co-ordinate that we let them choose the dishes for us. We were greeted at the door by very friendly staff member and served drinks whilst we waited for everyone to arrive. The restaurant has a lovely relaxed feel and we had 2 round tables together which allowed the conversation to flow. The food was really tasty, they choice a very wide range of dishes for us to try from delicious crispy thin pizza to fish and vegetarian options, every new dish was greeted with delight and clean plates which is always a bonus in a big group trying to please everyone. The wine flowed and our glasses were generously refilled before empty with high quality wine. Overall we were all very impressed and felt we had both had a lovely experience and great value for money.

The Chalet - a place to escape the everyday, with an alpine, apres-ski vibe. Sharing boards with a vast selections of Charcuterie meats and Cheeses, Fine Wine, Beer, Cocktails and more. Regular live music. A warm, relaxed, welcoming, friendly atmosphere a
Nicely decorated place but unfortunately only one big open space, so nothing to break up the area and stop it being really noisy here. Street parking only, if you're really lucky. The staff were lovely, really friendly and great service too. We went on a quiz night, the man running the quiz was very loud unfortunately and despite participants farthest away from him pointing out he was too loud he continued to deafen all of us there. I hope the manager insists he's a bit quieter next quiz or it will put people off going (we certainly won't return any time soon). The menu is very limited, and not great if you would like a hot dinner (or something worth going out for you couldn't throw together after a quick trip to a deli counter). The cheeses were nice, salad fresh, average chutney (not much of it though). Parma ham is revolting, 90% fat, other meats we had were delicious. Nice breads and crackers with it, hopefully someone will realise we're in the UK not USA and correct the menu... Crackers, not biscuits! Menu incorrect as well, it's not a choice of meats and/or cheeses for the price it's meats OR cheeses, not AND! Beware, not every meat on the menu may be available, 2 out of 3 of our choices weren't.Quiz was advertised as 'with snacks', that means a basket with a couple of handfuls of sweet popcorn in it, ugh! Odd it wasn't salt popcorn, that would ensure customers drank more. Great atmosphere here, down to friendly staff and fun customers. Drinks were rather expensive. Menu too limited. We had a nice evening out, but costly and a bit disappointing overall. Hi Jessica, Thank you for your review and 4 stars. We are glad you found the staff friendly and attentive. I feel the need to address a few points you have made however. Yes indeed we are a large open space which as you say doesnât break up the noise too well however you came on our monthly quiz night not your average Tuesday, indeed Jim our quiz master for the evening was a little loud if you were right in front of him but we did have some teams that couldnât hear too well and were needing questions repeating several times So we will be looking at better speaker placement for the next one. Iâm surprised you feel our menu is limited with 23 cheeses and 13 meats along side Baked Camembert, Smoked Salmon, Houmous, pork pies olives and Cheese stuffed peppers we feel itâs quite the range and certainly more than you could throw together at home. Indeed the Parma you received was very poorly cut and should never have left the kitchen I believe you were recompensed for this on the night by way of our apologises and a free round of drinks. We are certainly in the uk so Biscuits for cheese is what we serve along side various different types of freshly baked breads, a biscuit it the USA is something akin to a savoury scone. Our Menus are correct they state exactly what you can choose to go on your board be it the 4 piece highlands where you can choose any combination of 4 cheeses and/or meats through to our stunning Himalayan board where you can choose 12 cheeses and 8 meats. Not forgetting all the lovely fresh salad, silverskin onions, tomatoâs, Cornichons, fruits, Butter, chutney, Fresh bread and biscuits that come with all of our boards. We do apologise for being out of a couple of items on your visit, this can happen from time to time but certainly not often, thankfully with such a good selection thereâs not much trouble finding something just as good to replace it normally. Quiz snacks vary there was popcorn salted and sweet, Mini Cheddars and various crisps on this occasion as you had a board there may not have been space on your table when the snacks were first brought around to fit a range. We are surprised you found our drinks expensive with beers from £4, Spirits from £3 Cocktails from £6 and a range of wine to suit all tastes and budgets we are certainly competitively price. Again thank you for your Review and if you would like to contact us directly about any of your concerns please do email us at [email protected] or call 02380616484

New Italian cafe in Eastleigh
Absolutely terrible service. Ordered one salmon and one pizza when nobody else was in the cafe. Two other couples came after us and left before we even had our main. The pizza wasn't freshly prepared it was frozen and the salmon was over-salted. The entire menu is expensive and not worth the effort.

Although I have been here before a year or two ago I decided to come back with my father in law for a meal and once again it was great food, very filling and with a fast service. The prices are not too expensive and when you get your meal there is no disappointment. I would highly recommend coming here as £10 will get you enough food and drink to feel stuffed!

Italian Family Run Restaurant Since 1983.
Used this Italian restaurant for many years when I worked in Eastleigh but have not been back for a while since I retired. I was not disappointed as the meal was excellent. Paolina, the owner, recognised me and greeted me warmly. We started with Carta de Musica and olives, a favourite appetiser in times gone by. My main was baked chicken breast with spinach and mushrooms in a white wine sauce and a side of sauted potatoes. My wife had penne with smoked salmon. Both dishes were excellent and washed down with Pinit Grigio and a delightful Sardinian red wine, Cannanau. A delightful evening.

It is turkish restarant and wine bar
Came here with a friend on a Monday evening at 6pm (when it opened) and it was deserted - the chef hadn't even arrived! However the waiter who was setting up still got us seated and brought us drinks and explained the chef would be there soon.Although not everything we ordered was available what did arrive was freshly prepared and fairly tasty. Not the most mind blowing meze I've had but it was a good balanced selection and very generous portions for the price.Only critique was that the food was quite greasy and an overall greasy smell all over the restaurant but I'd definitely come back!
