Nice looking restaurant. But let down by poor service. Ordered Gavi di Gavi at circa £24 a bottle. Arrived warm. We had no napkins on the table. Food was ok - pretty average though to be honest and not overly good value. Dessert and coffee menu not even offered. Will not be returning.

Established in 1985, Pots and Pithoi was the first to introduce handmade Cretan terracotta pots to the UK and we have the largest selection in the country. Our renovated farm buildings, medieval barn, and Mediterranean-style courtyard provide the perfect
Very small venue but absolutely lovely, the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and quick. The coffee and tea are very good and it all comes in the beautiful Cretan pottery that is on sale in the shop. The cakes are a real treat, the chocolate brownies and the lightest, melt in the mouth brownies that I have ever had.Thank you for your lovely review. Very much appreciated. Weâre opening up the courtyard again this summer for the cafe so come a see whatâs on the menu...Iâll make sure the brownies are still available! Kind regards David

Went to visit this restaurant in Crawley with my parents and unfortunately, my experience could not have been worse. The place was nearly empty but still service was awful. We had go to looking for the waiter/waitress just to get the menus for the place. After waiting some more, we finally got our order taken.Since this is a "Spanish tapas" place, we decided to go with multiple small starters, both hot and cold. Most of the dishes were ok, nothing that stands out particularly, but then we got to the Spanish croquetas... First batch of two portions comes in and they are literally frozen on the inside, we tried the other one just to see that it wasn't an odd mistake, but all well frozen. We called the waiter, told him about this and kindly requested to get them replace. After a short while, they brought another couple of croquetas portions... And again all frozen inside... Mind you, this is now 4 different dishes that were delivered and not cooked properly. The restaurant didn't even check the replacement order to see if it was fine after the issue was highlighted. After this we decided to cut out losses and cancel the order. No real apology from the restaurant, no effort to make things right... Just awful service and food. No respectable did establishment will deliver twice a poorly cooked dish, not to mention the fact that probably all their food options are frozen based. This is certainly not a good representation of what a Spanish restaurant is, the are certainly far better options even in Crawley if you crave this type of food, otherwise Haywards Heath or Guildford are good alternatives for Spanish tapas. Can't stress this enough, avoid this place and save yourself a bad experience that might tarnish you opinion on Spanish food.Dear pipebk. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry that your experience with us did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We aim to deliver top quality food and service. We have spoken to front of house and kitchen staff and hopefully we can offer you only the best food and service should you wish to return. Staff very attentive and talked us through all the specials and cocktail options - when we arrived there were no other customers but they offered the same service to all arriving customers. The sangria was lovely and so was the crab/lobster filled pasta I ordered. My partners pizza was a little too oily but he said he still enjoyed it! Would definitely return.

Finding ourselves famished and ready for some tasty food after strolling Forest Row, we were recommended to pop in for a quick bite. The pizzas are renown as the oven master is from Sardinia and really knows his pizza crust. I ordered a pizza, "Parmagiana" a Roasted Eggplant, Parmasan and Garlic w/tomato and Cheese, my husband had a Quesadilla with Chorizo, cheese and jalapeno, and our friend had a pizza, "Napoli" with Anchovies, capers, olives and parsley! I was eyeing the Buddha bowls and other salads that the ladies next to us had. They were colourful and looked so delicious! My husband and I found ourselves back there in a few days and ordered a delicious Prosciutto, Mozzerella, Basil, Tomato sandwich on a sofy baguette and my husband had a "Fresca" pizza with Prosciutto and Parmesan and Arugula and we sat ouside on the sidewalk in the shade. I was surprised that our waitress didn't have an English accent because she was Canadian and from Toronto! What a small world!

Friends suggested we try Qartol, so we booked for a Saturday evening - pouring with rain and dismal East Grinstead outside, absolutely full and welcoming atmosphere inside! The decor is pleasantly Turkish themed and the staff are attentive and helpful. You can see your food being cooked on the barbecue through a smoky and rather greasy looking big pane of glass into the kitchen. The food that came out of the kitchen was superb. We had the hot meze and the cold meze selections and this was just right for four. You choose the cold selection, but the hot is six set dishes. All delicious and nicely presented. For the main courses we had sea bass, lamb chops, and I had Lamb Sarma Beyti -lamb kofte in flatbread with lashings of yoghurt - which was nicely presented and lots of it. The fish and the chops were well received and looked good too.Desserts were a bit predictable and probably not really necessary after the main course, but a better selection of Turkish specialities would be the only improvement I could recommend.A couple of beers and a coffee and the bill came to about £35 a head - good value for a super evening out. Thanks to all concerned and good luck in a site that seems to change hands rather often!

The authentic Spanish dining experience in Sussex!
Ate tapas here with family on a Thursday evening. Good atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff, busy restaurant. Chose a range of dishes including, baby squid, calamari, octopus, chicken livers, chorizo, tiger prawns, smoked peppers and manchego cheese. Finished off with a tasty Rioja, brandy and coffee. Sensible prices, and lots of reasons to keep returning to a great restaurant.

Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Drinks arrived swiftly and our order promptly taken. We went for the Pesce e pesce â delicious fish, great dip and superb skinny fries. Washed down with an Italian white and a beer. All in all an excellent evening. They deserve to go from strength to strength.
