We have very old friends who have a house in Premosello, near the Lago Maiore, and this restaurant is one of their favorites, and we do agree. Situated in the same valley, between the lake and the Swiss border, this hidden gem is mostly used by the locals (always a good sign!) It serves food 'Albergo style', but what they serve is more than excellent, at very reasonable prices. Be aware, the portions are huge, so if you take a starter, followed by a main course, followed by dessert, you will have eaten 4 times... Do as the locals do, and ask for half a portion, or a small portion, or share 1 portion. Our group numbered 10, so we sampled many different things, and it was, without exception, all excellent!

My cousin and his wife who live in Italy took us to this restaurant since it is one of their favorites. It is a typical family restaurant and serves great pizza, pasta and desserts. I have always enjoyed pizza in Italy much more than pizza in the US. The flavors are the centerpiece of the dish not the cheese or crusts. We shared four different types. The vegetarian, rucola, porcini and gorgonzola. All were very good. The desserts were chocolate cakes. We enjoyed everything. Good Italian food. With a bottle of good Italian wine, two desserts and four pizzas the check came to Euro 64.70. We considered that reasonable price for a european meal for four. On the way out the proprietor offered us a complimentary glass of local grappa.

Wandering around this pleasant Northern Italian town is a very pleasant thing to do on a summers day. Choosing where to eat, we saw this pleasant-enough looking place where we were greeted very warmly and looked after well throughout the meal. Sadly however, the food was extremely bad. Very bad produce (even my 6-year-old found the gnocchi inedible), and simply no understanding of cooking. So sad, as it was market day and there were plenty of stalls outside selling lovely looking produce. Please avoid.

To start by the end, we left this place with a bad feeling and will never come back.I must say that the meal was fairly good, and the chief know what he is doing. And the restaurant as a place is nice. But the service was terrible, especially the waiter who welcome you as if you are disturbing him (I have to say that we were a little late, but anyway the restaurant was not full at all, and empty when we left...), answer your question because he has to, and look at you as if you are dumb as a rock because you ask for the lamb to be a little bit more cook than nearly raw. We thought that he has a bad day, but he was looking fine when laughing in front of the computer... Finally he succeeded in ruining our evening...I believe he should just change his professional orientation. Really not a place we will come back, just because of the bad memory.Price range (for 2) : 1 starter, 2 mains, 2 glasses of wine and 1 bottle of water : 60â¬buona sera.

Although is not located in the main Mercato Square but just in the proximity of it, itâs definitely worth a stop. Good food at a moderate price which combines Southern Italian dishes with more typical local cuisine. Pizzas are delicious and quite unusual in their ideation.

I actually reviewed this restaurant at the same time as the accommodation - smiley friendly service, food priced about right, house wine good value, menu only available in Italian. Shame it wasn't warm and less windy as it would have been lovely to eat with everyone else, student style, on the long trestle table out on the terrace

We have been advised by local friends, and it was a very good choice. Fish food is what they have recommended for, and this restaurant was up to standard. Elegant, careful service, well attended also mid week. Price is adequate to the standard.

Based on my previous positive experience in July, I decided to come back while driving back home. This time, I ordered the crudo(raw fish platter) and was excellent & fresh. Pasta with lobster sauce as main was good also. Add the ultra friendly service( I am non Italian speaker), and you would understand why this restaurant located a bit remote is almost full during lunch time on a Thursday.. I will return.

We really enjoyed our lunch. The food was great and lots of other people enjoying meals too. Not all tourists like us. We had menus for the day. Very imaginative and good price. We want to go again. Stay over night and enjoy a night meal. The ambiance was great.
