The terrasse, faces the busiest road in Divonne, was full with Arabes, living during the summer in Divonne, smoking shisas, we were almost transported in an other world, nice. Food was very good, starters (aubergine, taboulet) chicken tajine and almond pastries and of course the à la mente, some portion are small. Service wasn´t up to the level but we will come back.

This is not a fine dining place but one where you can taste Italian finger food. We took our daughter and her friends there for a birthday party lunch. Warm bread, a good selection of Italian charcuterie, cheeses, grilled or marinated vegetables, plus a tiramisu as dessert that got the thumbs up of the kids... would not go here for dinner but the concept is interesting, and service is friendly.

The external and internal appearance of the Auberge is stunning. I'd eaten before in the bistro section but this time we booked in the restaurant. (You can also eat outside on the terrace from either menu.) The artworks, flowers and additional touches to the decor are as interesting as they are beautiful. The room is spacious so seems quiet even when the restaurant is busy,A warm welcome awaits from Patricia and her staff, with very good service. The amuse guele of a shot glass of gazpacho, with beautiful homemade bread, was both refreshing and tasty. The menu is seasonal and inventive, while everything we had was delicious and absolutely gorgeous to look at. I can now understand why some people take photographs of their food... My starter was croustillants (a sort of spring roll) with reblochon cheese and morels on a bed of grated celeriac, my friend had the ravioli of chanterelles and local ham. My lamb entrecote in a herby crust was fabulous and my friend drooled over her pork saltimbocca, which I also tasted and it was indeed luscious. Both were very generous portions. Seasonal vegetables were perfectly cooked plus we chose gratin from the potato selection. Much of the produce is locally sourced and seasonal - such as the mushrooms in our starters (last time we had local game from the mountains, but this is late summer). We finished with a delectable chocolate mousse with red berries/currants and the duo of cremes brulees. The wine, a French pinot noir from the south, was easily as good as many "proper" Burgundies. We started with aperitifs (gin & tonic and a pastis), then had three courses each with wine and sparkling water. The total bill (service included) was 236 in either euros or Swiss francs. There is also a daily fixed price menu which also looked very good. This is a charming restaurant with stunning food. Well worth a detour as they say in the Guide Mich. Thankfully my friends live only over the road.

The lake restaurant is ideally located on Lake Geneva, combining modernism and tradition. Our cuisine, local and seasonal, is served by our passionate chef and lover of traditional cuisine which also enriched many culinary trips around the world.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch at Restaurant Du Lac at the end of June after a long flight from Toronto to Geneva as we drove to Berne for a week of work. The service by our young French waiter is what made our visit enjoyable. His wine recommendations were very helpful. WTS, we were disappointed in the food though it was really not bad, just not great as we'd expected based on the reviews et cetera. The terrace is an enjoyable place to have lunch and view the lake. For CH this is a medium priced establishment but for a North American (i.e. Canadian) paying with weaker currency it is costly. We enjoyed a far superior lunch on the shore of Lake Garda for half the price and did not leave thinking Restaurant Du Lac was good value for money.
