On a cold December night, I wanted to get something to eat. A pizzeria close to the Welcome Hotel was the best option and I headed to da Nino.I had a beer and a Pizza. The food and drink was ok. I asked for the cheque. The waiter came to my table with the bill, and said 'cash only'. I found this surprising, as I could see they had a credit card machine. In any case, I handed over a 50 euro bill. The waiter came back and said can we give you 3 euro less as they didn't have change and had to round up the bill to the nearest 5 euro!!!!. I was surprised, and I told them, I see you have a credit card machine. if you want I can tender exact change through the card. To this he replied, if you pay by card you pay 5 Euro extra!!!! I told him that you said cash only, and I handed you cash. Now you get me the change. They went inside got some change and handed me back 30 cents less! There was a young waiter and he was respectful. I didn't fuss around. Took the change and headed out. Wouldn't go back again to this pizzeria!

The place basically looks like a fairly outdated pub, dark wood bar, tables and chairs. But the selection of tapas is excellent and well prepared, tasty, and fairly cheap. Good value for money. Spanish music, spanish boss, spanish beers, sangria (not being a fan, didn't taste it). We tried gambas a la plancha, tortilla, chorizo frito and a few more... For those who are not garlic fans, I do NOT recommend the place. But for those who love it, gogogo!!!

Althought we arrived with 13 people at 22:00 we were guided to a nice table. Food and and beverage came timely and fresh with a smile. Real recommendation.

... and we've been to Italy a dozen times at least! We especially love the pasta rolled in the bowl of parmesean with oil and a bit of garlic. It is a family restaurant with cooks and servers who want everything to be perfect. Just go--you will never be disappointed.

Had a business dinner here. It is a fancy restaurant with nice selection of choices. Our vorspeisen was really excellent...a caprice salad. The main entree tasted good but not particularly spectacular, however their dessert (a sampler) was extraordinary. Wine choices were also excellent. Overall, I had a very good meal here and would like to return again.

This restaurant is a bit off the beaten path but we'll worth the drive once you get there. It is located in a fairly quiet residential area and we opted to sit outside under the umbrellas on tables covered with blue and white checkered tablecloths where friendly Italian-speaking waiters took very good care of us. The décor inside is equally delightful including very nice bathrooms! I ordered pasta with a salmon cream based sauce, which was a very generous serving. My bf wasn't quite as happy with the size of his portion of pasta and ended up ordering a second choice to follow. I think the first dish had a simple tomato sauce and the second was his standby, "Aglio e Olio", which he said was not the best he's ever had.

Have been here twice for dinner. Both times the food was unique, well presented, nice portions (not too big nor small), well paired. My last visit there was a menu for the day for a reasonable price. It included an appetizer, a salad, main entree (I had chicken with vegetables), a souffle dessert, and wine. The restaurant is cozy by friendly atmosphere. The owner met us at the door and was most hospitable. Nice place for dinner!

Another week in this Vibrant City....on Tuesday a visit with 2 colleagues for a really great meal.To start I had the sardines from the daily menu: absolutely wonderful and to be honest a larger plate would have made a fine main course. I followed with the mixed fish plate: 5 fish all perfectly cooked - even the octopus tentacle which can so easily be rubber. The service was friendly and flawless, particularly the wine waiter's performance. So, on Thursday I went back with a colleague, rather than go on the organised party to a Beer Garden. I don't really like beer.....and my colleague is allergic to all things dairy. They understood and explained what she might enjoy, and what to avoid. She had a great meal and left very happy. So again for me the sardines, followed by a perfectly cooked lump of fillet steak. If only all fillet steak was as good.....My colleague had the tuna tatar as a first course followed by pasta with prawns and snow crab claw. Glorious! Price? Acceptable, for 2 including a bottle of wine and coffee about Euros 120. I'll be back.
