An unmatched setting for a unique experience. The gourmet restaurant of Relais San Lorenzo is embedded within a Roman and medieval Archeological site: an exciting door on time. The fine and high-level cuisine will allow you to taste the pleasure of Italia
The most amazing setting within the restaurant...you sit elevated over medieval and Roman ruins that they uncovered when they were building the hotel & it truly is spectacular. The service really was top notch and you were brought little appetisers and amuse bouche before during and after the courses.32 pages of red wines in the wine list and the sommelier really wasn't pushy, singing the praises of a cheap little Primitivo as much as the 100 euro Amarone we went for.A lovely little ceremony of preparing the wine and glasses to show off the wine's full potential and very long legs. Plus wine glasses that could probably hold a bottle each! Then onto the food...we were going to go for the 3 traditional Italian courses and skip dessert, but we only managed 2 as the portions were fairly generous.Incredibly tasty...there's no need to list what we had as I'm sure every choice would have been just as good.In the end it was around E220 for 2 courses for the 2 of us, but that included a E100 bottle of wine, so I thought a bargain for the setting plus quality of food & wine. The most expensive item on the menu was around 30 euros.Michelin Star service without the pricetag.

We had a fantastic evening in the Restaurantino. The service was super kind, they made a special dish for our kids and were really welcoming. The food was really yummy, hand made and special. They have a nice selection of wines and make good recommendations.

This is a classy restaurant. Set in the heart of the beautiful high town of Bergamo, it is a place for romantic dinners or a relaxed meeting of close friends or business colleagues. So when eight, thirsty English golf tourists crash through the door, it rather took the waiter by surprise. Not that we were loud but we were thirsty and we do enjoy a glass of wine followed by another glass of wine as we are studying a menu, which incidentally is terrific here, because this is Lombardian food and cooking very much at its zenith. So, after a while up came the first, crisp bottle of dry Lombardian white which did not stay long in the glass. Sadly it had not occurred to our waiter to recognise that our group were here to have a good time so we needed our stocks replenishing rapidly and were quite happy to pour out our own wine rather than him serve us.However that is the only criticism other than my main course, a perfectly cooked and flavoursome piece of pork that had been slow cooked over 20 hours, could have been hotter.Otherwise the food was superb, with the glorious casoncelli, a stuffed pasta filled with a sage sauce, butter and pancetta, described by one of our party as one of the most delicious starters he had ever eaten. I had a small tartare of the local beef which was sublime, and only wished a larger portion of it had been available as a main.Plates of local beef and rabbit were eaten clean as we eased into some decent cabernet sauvignon, which was now coming through from the shelves at a most pleasing rate. What for me was the highlight was the local cheese board we all had with a selection of Lombardy cheeses all matched on a plate with appropriate sauces. Our waiter, helpfully explained what they all were plus the sauces, known as marmellate or jams in Italy, but I forget now other than that they were universally delicious.Fire in a complimentary grappa with our coffee and we were eight happy chaps. Our group had been a test for the establishment but it had come through with flying colours.

We popped into Il Coccio before our flight home and we stunned at the quality of the food! Very different to what we have had during our trip around Italy and it was lush home cooking with different spins on some classic dishes! Highly recommend you jump in if you are in Bergamo!!

Been twice - both times with a large family. Even though it was a long time between visits we were immediately recognized and welcomed with a friendly service although the restaurant was full. The food & wine were delicious. Looking forward to the next time. Good evening, we are honored to receive your kind review. We will wait for your visit at our new headquarters of Valbrembo (BG) Via Leonardo da Vinci 24. We also have a nice summer terrace and private parking you to our customers and we will be delighted to welcome you and your family. Thanks again for your positive contribution.

The chef, came to translate the menu, and offered great suggestions. Just about everything we had was exceptionally cooked and presented. The deserts were the ones that by far impresed all of us a the table. If you are in the Mozzo area, strongly recommend this reastaurant. Cost was about 50Euros per person and we did have a couple of glasses of wine

This restaurant was a real find. It is worth going for the charismatic and entertaining maitre'd alone! The food was superb - we let the maitre'd do the recommending and went with the veal which was excellent. They even knocked â¬8 off the bill. It was a very pleasant experience overall.

Porta Osio takes the name from a door in the old wall surrounding the city and conserve some walls embedded in the building. Forty seats to be cuddled in tranquillity. The restaurant has been standing out for the first -class choice of cold cuts and chees
Was invited by a business contact. But had to pay the bill. It was supposed to be a business lunch. The food was exquisite, the wine superb, the ambience beautiful, but the portions!!!!!! my god Lilliputian! 5 pieces of pasta as a starter and 2 mouthful as a main course. The apple strudel was a thin slice. The wine was superb as worth the price but as soon as I got home I had to eat as I was hungry. Thank you but not for me.
