Lovely food and excellent wine in busy, atmospheric restaurant. Our only criticism was that all the delicious food was served on cold plates and so the food did not retain its heat. Owner/manager please ensure that your serving dishes are hot and that plates are at least warm! !!

Situated in the historic area of Coimbra, Arcada has to offer you various Portuguese food, in a warm and friendly environment.
Fantastic restaurant with delicious Portuguese food. The staff and especially the manager is really friendly and customer focussed. He will do anything for you to give you a wonderfull night. Also the sangria and other cocktails are made with love and even adjusted the way you prefer. I would highly recommend this place.

Typical Tavern of Coimbra, with varied snacks as pork ear, baits of liver, codfish cakes, fried cod, sardines\mackerel, among others, and even meal service
Chose this restaurant based on these reviews. It was a short walk from our guest house and we arrived around 9pm on Saturday and were warmly greeted and given a table. The waiter is pleasant and accommodating. Food was simple and tasty. Two main courses (chicken and other was octopus), appetizers of olives and bread, one juice and one glass of red wine; total was only 21.50â¬! Canât be beat. Lovely time in Coimbra.

We hiked up the hills to reach this restaurant. We didnât have reservations, but assured the owner that we would not take long, as he was booked up for the evening. We ordered grilled squid, and salmon. It came with potatoes, broccoli, and a mixed salad. The beer was good, and the service was fast.

We were looking for "best in town" restaurants during a 3-day business trip with colleagues and found Notes Bar & Kitchen upon a recommendation. The restaurant is located near the center of Coimbra. super easy to find.Like almost all other restaurants we tried, this was a small place. Excellent ambiance, cosy and contemporary with probably 20-25 pax. max capacity. The service was very attentive while not being overly pushy. A rare and valuable combi nation. The restaurant has a great selection of dry-aged meats available. Excellent and a must-try.We went for a variety of dishes and drinks and were blown away with the quality of what we were served. The menu is small and well-selected. Always a good sign in a restaurant indicating that they focus on a selection of dishes, all of which they do really well.Combined with the ambiance and great service, this was by far our best dining experience in Coimbra. An absolute must-try during your visit there! The only comment would be that this is not the best place for a small wallet - but worth every cent!Thank you so much for your evaluation, David! Our main goal is to give our costumers and clients the best experience they can get and we are very glad someone recommended us to you and your friends.Must mean we are doing something right :)Hope you can share with us a little bit more in another trip!Kind regards,Notes Team

National and healthy with an international touch. Passeite would like you to experience the power of olive oil offering local foods with the taste of the best Portuguese olive oils selected by us.
We went here based on the reviews on tripadvisor. You can share all dishes, so we chose to order a few small dishes we could share. It was absolutely delicious and something different then the other restaurants in coimbra. The personnel was very friendly and the price was not high at all. We ate here two days in a row and we would absolutely recommend it.

Located right in the centre of Coimbra is this small Portugese restaurant. The staff is adequate. We found it all in all a bit basic, definately not bad, but I expected more reading the excellent ratings on Tripadvisor. The menu is Portugese. I had the lamb which was okay. The food is good, but lacked some imagination. I had better during our holidays in Portugal.

Quality and tasty restaurant, quality products and sober views of the city. Conventual sweets of excellence. A house frequented mainly by locals.
Left a concert at the nearby venue and found this as we left; there was quite a wait, which is always a good sign! The service was wonderful and the food was so delicious!
