We were taken to this attractive restaurant as guests of a Lebanese couple who frequent this establishment. Upon walking in, one can admire the beautiful Iznik-like ceramic plates that adorn the wall, as well as the colorful glass lamps lit up. It was a late Monday night upon arrival so few tables were taken, but we were told that on weekends it's difficult to even get in.Our hosts ordered appetizers that filled the table. Hummus, eggplant spread, and a roasted red pepper spread were delicious with pita. Also an unusual oregano that tasted unlike anything I've every tried was excellent as we were shown to dip the pita into the oil and then the seasoning. The falafel with a sauce were plumb and most tasty, and an unbelievable fried dough similar to a Chinese eggroll that was stuffed with cheese was outstanding. We were losing our appetite before even having a main course at this BYO restaurant.I ordered a grilled chicken that was prepared with a unique marinate. It was accompanied by a special garlic sauce on the side that was a great combo. My husband' grilled lamb was cooked to perfection and tasty just as good. The grilled branzino looked wonderful, and all entrees were served with a choice of rice or mixed vegetables. The desserts consisted of two different custards, one with rice and a pistachio topping and the other plain with a cinnamon topping. The third dessert was a shredded filo dough topped with another type of custard all of which were excellent.I have no idea about the prices, as we never saw a menu. However, with such good food, service, and ambience, we will be back.

First time visit. Iâm still learning how to spell a dish I loveâFalafel. Falafel Hut is a small place mostly for take-out of Mediterranean food with 20 cafeteria-style hard chairs. We dined in. A minute walk from Upper Montclair train station. We found street parking (meters until 7 pm) at 6:30 pm. Order at the counter and served at your table.Enjoyed an appetizer of Baba Ghanoush (roasted eggplant) with pita for dunking. Entrées of Falafel Platter including side salad and yellow rice, Falafel pita sandwich, and Spicy Philly Cheese Steak Wrap. There were no leftovers.Tasty and freshly prepared. Items came out from the kitchen when each item was ready. Friendly staff, though interaction with staff was minimal. No itemized check, so trust that they do the math correctly...not a good practice. On this first chilly day of October, the heat had not been turned on.Tip: Believe the place is BYOB, but no signage. Will bring own next time.Between 3.5 and 4 circles. Will return.

Took my kids to eat Middle Eastern Food for the first time and they loved it. My daughter usually sticks to beef so she had the beef shishkobob entre, my son and I had the lamb shishkobob. Meet was so tender, tasty and just the right size portion. My daughter tried the lamb and said next time she will order that. The hummus was excellent. My son grabbed a menu and said we will definitely be returning.

All I can say is wow was this delicious, well-price, and satisfying! The hummus and shwarma are amazing! The service is really good: the waiters are very friendly and attentive to you. The outside patio is also an added bonus too! I would definitely go there again.

Having lived in Turkey a few years, I was searching for a Turkish restaurant serving authentic Turkish food. After visiting several places, I stumbled upon Istanbul Café Restaurant. The assortment of delicious foods is sure to entice even the pickiest of eaters. Great food, excellent prices, and nice atmosphere. Definitely worth my one hour drive to this establishment!

I have been here several times through out the years. This place is nicely decorated and the menu has a nice variety. The only problem is i think the main dishes are a bit overpriced for the portion. But the food is good. I tried the liver and it was great. Used to be more flavorful before. But still good. Rice pudding is awesome. Deserts are a must here. I wad also very much impressed by the service. Very attentive servers. I will be back again.

Frequented many times but as is the usual expansion brings challenges. Food quality has deteriorated and the service has become abysmal. The satellite locations donât have the same quality as the original and now the Bloomfield location is suffering from lack of attention. Bummers

The food here is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the chicken schawarma sandwich, the healthy mess salad and the salmon avocado tartine! Amazing! The only issue is it's very small inside. Don't let that deter you!

Toros Turkish Restaurant in Clifton is the original of this four location restaurant and our favorite. Authentic Turkish menu with all types of lamb, chicken, beef, seafood items. Full bar and valet parking on weekends make this a pleasurable go to place. Wonderful, friendly staff.
