We were the only ones in this restaurant, and we wanted to eat pizza at lunch time, but it wasn't possible and they offered instead a schiacciata! And they were delicious! Really personal and good service directly from the chef and a waiter. Try the one with artichoke and mozzarella, and the other one with prosciutto, mushrooms and tomato. The atmosphere wasn't great, too dark for a lunch time.

This restaurant is a bit hidden and we never would have gone there if it hadn't been recommended by Lonely Planet. We were not disappointed, the pasta was good and portions big. Also, the interior was nice, kind of rustically with vaulted arches. Prices are cheap. Two portions of pasta with a big bottle of water and service fee just 21 Euro. So, why only 4/5 stars?Well, as said, it was good food for a good price. But it wasn't outstanding/nothing remarkable. And, pizza, for whatever reason, was not available which limits the options drastically.

Of all our lunches whilst out on our Sicily holiday this was the best overall experience. The service was spot on. The drinks good, in value and choice. The food excellent. We sat outside which was a nice peaceful ambience. Highly recommended:)

On a day trip from Cefalu, stopped in Castelbuono and had lunch here. We were 2 adults and 1 9-year old. We had an amazing potato "tartine" that was a real hit. The pasta was rustic, simple and really delicious. Great views. Very reasonable. Nice staff.

This is a new place (one month old) and, in our view, offers superb cuisine with fresh, high quality ingredients. Our kids had the local pasta with a ragu of suckling pork and we opted for the hotpot of rabbit (my husbandâs choice) and veal (mine). Overall, we would rate the food as excellent. But it is clear that the restaurant has some growing pains in terms of service - from the waitress not being able to open our bottle of wine to it taking over two hours for two courses to be served. But once these service blips are corrected, I am certain this will become one of the best restaurants in town.

SAPORI RAFFINATI IN UN'ATMOSFERA SOSPESA TRA IL PROFUMO DEL MARE ED IL FASCINO DELLA MONTAGNA A Castelbuono piatti tipici madoniti specialità funghi freschi.
We ate lunch here on a hot day and were pleased to find that even with the doors open the restaurant was still pleasantly cool.the portions served are very generous and you might consider sharing a dish if you only want a light meal. the quality of the "antipasti" is excellent. The only jarring note is that they apply a cover charge to the bill which was not shown on the menu

Another fantastic restaurant as suggested by our TA community. We visited on a sleepy Sunday afternoon, with nothing open and on initial inspection, it appeared that this restaurant wasnât open either, we tentatively tried the door and were delighted when we were warmly welcomed inside. The menu is not vast which is always a good sign and we were delighted with our choice of tortellinone filled with ricotta in a subtle tomatoe sauce and home made pappardelle with mushrooms and saffron - both perfectly cooked and delicious. The bread was one of the best we had tasted in our 12 nights in Sicily. The wine choice is spectacular, however the wine list only contains local red wine: if you wanted white or rose then ask for their recommendation. Our rose was deliciously light and very reasonable. With an abundance of Michelin stickers in the window you know you have entered a very special place - which indeed it was. Highly recommended.

Everything about this restaurant is first rate and the family who runs it does everything from scratch, from the pasta to their own wine. The food is spectacular and the service excellent. The wine is lovely and the family is so friendly and special. Here is sits unassuming on a square in a very small town in Sicily and it was one of our most memorable meals.

Unexpectedly quiet on a Wednesday night, but the heavy rain all afternoon would stop most tourists. Didn't feel like a pizza evening. Our favourite dish Beef Carpaccio was on the menu. This plate was fantastic, beyond anything we have tasted in 5 countries - local cheese rather than parmsan , freshest rocket - the best oil and sourdough bread. To follow contra filleto (sirloin beef) and ravioli just al dente with different tasty funghi on each dish. Fried (wild ) greens just added to the pleasure. Good choice of wines. Service good and plenty of space inside for dining. Just outside the old town streets but only a few metres to walk - it is signposted.
We followed the road signs up the hills and were very pleasantly surprised with our finding at the end. Still in semi beach wear but never the less received a warm welcome. The antipasti was delicious as a starter and all our dishes and desserts were good. I recommend the house white wine too. The pool and rooms looked very inviting but alas we only popped in for lunch.
