A coastal town just 20 miles west of Lisbon, Cascais was once a small fishing village, but its idyllic scenery attracted the attention of artists, writers and expelled European nobility in the 20th century. Today, it still attracts high society, but all society comes in force to enjoy the gorgeous beaches and adventure options like sailing and surfing. The Conde de Castro Guimarães Museum, a former palace, is now open to the public and displays an impressive collection of art and artifacts.

During our stay in Cascais we went to O Carloto and liked so much the food, the service and the ambience that we repeated, twice!. They don't have an extended menu. Which is not necesarilly bad. They serve fresh, good, home-made, Portuguese food. Really really recomended. One of the few restaurants in this coast area, out of the center of Cascais, not for tourists but locals. Also top cleansiness.

the picapica restaurant is located in the historic protected area of ââcascais, you will find welcome, quality, freshness and quantity to satisfy your taste buds. Portuguese cuisine and some tapas concocted by our chef await you there.
We had the mixed fish plate for two. Which was enormous but lacked some quality and had various dried out elements, like the mussels. Iâd be much happier with a smaller better quality plate. Wine was good. The service was charming. muchas gracias para su comentario, en el restaurante dices "richissimo" a frente del camarero y ahora en tripadvisor este comentario???otro dia ,otro cliente ,otra opinion......no va la pena agregar mas....

Had read the reviews about this place, and luckily managed to squeeze in without a reservation, itâs a superb restaurant ,with a cute outside area for pressings. We had lovely meals, all really tasty and full of flavour, quite big portions though which meant unfortunately we had no space for desert. Next time! Really enjoyed the wine and beer too. Thanks for a super evening, we will be back.restaurant, superreRestaurant ,Restaurant restaurantrestaurantrestaurant, ,lotsofcharacter, cute outside seating area. The restaurant was really busy, but still had excellent service, really impressed with our food, the only very minor point was that the meat and fish we ordered was undercooked, but when mentioned it was sent straight back and re-done for us, everything was perfect then

Restaurant Fortaleza do Guincho was opened in 1998, as the Hotel. Acclaimed French Chef Antoine Westermann introduced a haute cuisine restaurant, which quickly became a reference in Portugal. In 2001 the restaurant received a Michelin star, held until tod
We had lunch at the bar of the Fortaleza, not at the gourmet restaurant. However, our lunch was also a gourmet experience. I had spaghetti with lobster that were excellent. On the pricey side but worth the money. We sat outside on the terrace and had a fantastic view of the ocean. Generally, the hotel looks nice (we didnât stay there) and is located very close to Guincho beach which is beautiful and very popular with surfers due to the big waves.Dear Remainsofnames,Thank you very much for your time and review. We are extremely pleased to learn that you have enjoyed your time in our terrace. We really hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again. With warm regards from Guincho beach,Restaurante / Hotel Fortaleza do Guincho Relais & ChâteauxTel. : +351 214 870 491@ : [email protected]

traditional Portuguese food and the very best Portuguese Wines the most by glass open every day 12:00 to 01:00
A group of six of us had tapas dinner here, walked in of the street, drank at the bar and then for a table. We went with their wine recommendations which were good. The tapas was nice, good jamon, excellent cod cakes, nice prawns. Not a big or unusual menu but plenty trip eat and well cooked. The staff are friendly and helpful. We went back another evening and they had the front all open which we found a little chilly but otherwise it was all good.

Italian Restaurant; Daily Fresh Handmade Pasta
Coming on a yearly basis to Estoril we first discovered lamassa in 2017 and really liked it...In Oct. 2019 we went twice and were disapointed because of plenty poor details :(Everybody knows that the restaurant is small (7 tables)...ok with that...but the interior looks really tired and some renovation/fresh painting should be done!Service isn't as professional and caring as it was when the owners husband was serving the many guests. They have a chalkboard with daily specials, but not all guests get shown it :(Dishes on the menu are not available anymore and you get told only after you want to order that "no more salmon raviolis" are served :(As starter we liked the grilled vegetables with melted cheese... but this time the cheese wasn't melted at all.... not recommended :(The vitello tonnato starter however was very good: tender veal in a creamy sauce :)The "ravioli tonno" were good as well as the "ravioli taleggio", good consistence, nice sauce and tasty :)Of course we like the pasta "al dente", but the "spaghetti gamberi" were definetly undercooked :( the shrimp sauce however was good.We told the waiter about our concerns, he walked away and we never got a feedback but nasty looks :(The cannolo sweet treat wasn't as the ones we know from Sicily. The "cream" inside wasn't tasty, had a weird consistence and were much too sweet :(Hopefully this review helps the potentiel guests to make their choice as well as the owners who could make some improvments! The restaurant is full each evening for the 2 services (7pm and 9pm) and this makes the owners think "we don't argue with success"?!

Tapas and Wine bar with Music. Portuguese and Italian Tapas are served on big platters with a wide selection of the best ham, salame, fresh burrata, cheese and various tasty bruschettas. All kind of wines and drinks, gin, vodka, whisky, rum, grappa, limon
We booked through The Fork website and were seated at 18:30 although it was earlier than we would normally like to eat, we didnât want to miss the opportunity as we had seen all the positive reviews. We were not disappointed, it is small but very cosy, the waiting on staff were friendly and helpful. The food was as expected; excellent. We had the nduja bruschetta and the beautiful truffle ravioli and a nice frozen almond and chocolate cake. The house red was very agreeable and after our coffees were given a complementary tot of port.People were on a waiting list outside, but we didnât feel rushed. Excellent food and service, but book well in advance unless you donât mind waiting outside with a drink.A place to definitely return. Superb.

Typical Portuguese Cuisine with a special touch, in a family environment. Close to the Casino and Estoril beaches. Specialities from octupus to pork cheeks, bacalhau and fresh tuna.
Arrived as the first quests at 7pm. Had our orders in at 7.10. Two of us (party of 7) took starters. Other diners start coming at 7.30pm. The starers arrive at 7.50pm. Everything takes forever. First main courses arrive at 20.20pm. Or at least part of it; pork cheeks come but the mashed asparagus thingy still awaits. It arrives app. 10 minutes later. My girlfriend's veal loin is gray, blue rare at the best and very chewy. Might still have a pulse even? We send it back and they grill the all-ready cut steak pieces to done. Only my brother actually liked the his food. Floor manager comes to ask is everything ok? We explain the situation; nothing has really gone right and everything has taken forever. He just turns on his heels without saying a word. And by the looks of some of the other parties we weren't the only ones not enjoying the dinner. Like said, nothing went right and we really weren't even apologized until we had paid the bill. On the plus side there were toys so at least our groups 2 year old had a blast. By this experience alone, I would not recommend this one to anyone but given the rank at TripAdvisor it honestly can't be THIS bad?? And as Finns this review is saying alot...Hello Tekniikka:We are really sorry for the bad experience You had at TaskaLusa. We work hard everyday to be able to have the rank and reviews that We have and that I'm sure you've seen. We have been fortunate to be able to give different experiences, much more positive, as You can see at TheFork for example, that same night. We will look into what happened thoroughly and make sure we will not make the sames mistakes again. If You decide to visit us again, I'm sure We will be able to provide a completely different experience of Portuguese Cuisine and of our Restaurant.
