Things to do in Capodimonte

Visited in November so not many tourists about , however the restaurant was busy and did a good trade in seafood , we went for the Steak and Pasta dishes which were good if unremarkable , the chips were delivered to the table 5 minutes before the steak ?? Staff were attentive and we paid 65 Euro for Five People which was reasonable for Five mains , Two desserts and Four Coffee .Decent but unremarkable

Located on the banks of Lake Bolsena in the ancient and picturesque village of Capodimonte. You can enjoy a magnificent view of Bisentina and Martana islands as well as the great Rocca of 1475. The structure is equipped with two air-conditioned rooms and
Unfriendly and overworked (although quick) staff. We ordered Antipasto for two, which tasted like nothing except mayonnaise or vinegar. The patate fritte for my son`s salsicce (three tiny pieces of it) were never seen, although the waiter always said they would arrive every time he passed our table. We finally cancelled the order. After more than half an hour my husband`s pizza a quatri formaggi arrived but it didn`t look as crispy as the pizze of the other guests. It was almost dough and lightbrown, as if quickly made after our hint that we were still waiting for it. What an expensive flop!!!!!! Don`t be fooled by the nice location directly at the lakeshore.

L'Oasi del Pescatore is perfect located next to the Bolsena lake. Also very charming to see the fisherman going out for fishing while we were eating. The atmosphere was relaxing combined with a stunning scenery. Delicious italian fish, seafood and pasta.Highly recommended!

The Pescaturismo "The Fisherman's Hut" is directly handled by two fishermen. The best place to taste the fish of Lake Bolsena. Directly on the shore of the lake. All organic and natural. Boat trips on the lake characteristics.
What a find! Riccardo was the most amazing host, despite having had an accident and 20 plus stitches in his leg the previous day. The setting is enough itself, and we let them just feed us. We were absolutely stuffed, and the bill was absurdly low.thank you for your compliments .Flatter us .We are very happy to have passed some pleasant hours .We hope to see you soon .
I really enjoyed having dinner here. I shared a perfect, big and well-cooked T-bone with my partner. I also recommend the "Fritto misto", which is a selection of all the fried specials. A good Grinbergen was the perfect combination with the amazing sunset by the lake.Grazie mille di essere stata nostra ospite torni a trovarci un caro saluto La Fucina

We ate here two nights, it was recommended to us by the owner of the B & B we were staying in. We weren't disappointed! The first night we had the set fish menu at 20 euro pp, a mixture of starters, two first courses, main course of fried and grilled fish, potatoes and salad. The second night we ordered spaghetti alle vongole and swordfish, excellent. Waitresses efficient and pleasant. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Superb views of lake bolsena and excellent food. We ate twice at lunch and on both occasions the food was superb. Ravioli to start followed by a seafood platter, washed down with a local recommended wine. Always busy so booking recommended. Parking opposite easy and very cheap- we combined with a day relaxing at the lake. Not as cheap as other places but well worth a visit and would imagine beautiful in the evening.

As the past teaches us, cooking has always been the undisputed queen of every age. It is in fact thanks to the illustrious personages who have stayed in these places, that between history and legend, the exquisiteness of the whitefish is decanted, as well
Could not have been better. I dream of returning. Every dish is a different mind blower. Go with a large group and order 1 of everything to share. I hope to return to this countryside treasure every few months.

Il ristorante rimarrá chiuso per ferie dal 10/09 al 28/09/2018.
I think it was faith that brought us to La Rocca...This small restaurant at the top of Capodimonte seemed like a place where Hemingway could spend his afternoons. A simple décor draws attention to the food which was truly magnificent. I recommend an octopus salad with apple and wild rocket, probably the best lasagne we have ever tried and mouth watering 'moules' with a home made pasta. This is a small family-run restaurant, filled with passion for food and with great hospitality. A must to stop by, even just for an espresso. Just sit and watch the little piazza outside while listening to some stranger playing piano.
