La trafila is a nice restaurant with polite staff. The environment is quite refined with around 40 seats. We have been there for a dinner with friends eating mainly fish with mixed fried fish, octopus and a oven cooked fish. As said the taste was good and we were quite happy about our selection. My only concern is about the amount of food: considering the cost I would have expected a richer portion.I understood La trafila offers a special deal for Thursday evening. Likely this is the best way to enjoy this restaurant.

Very good place. Perfect cuisine. Rich menu, good choice of fish and meat. Trattoria is situated in the forest near Cantu. Calm and beautiful place not far from big roads (Como - Milano, Lecco - Monza). In the evening were very nice illuminations. Beautiful shiny fountain. Polenta integrale with deer meat was perfect. As well as Barbera d´Asti (red wine from Piemonte, 14%, superb).

In a beautiful location surrounded by nature, we offer high quality italian food that comes mainly from our production.
For a traveler to Como a stop at this restaurant would make your stay complete. It is a totally different side of Lake Como away from the touristy restaurants. This restaurant was built for locals and largely is frequented only by locals. Too bad! This is a restaurant for family gatherings. It was designed this way. The owners greet you like family and the staff takes care of you like family. The waiter translated the menu for us. The owners introduced themselves to us and gave us as gifts food products made on the farm. I toured the kitchen and met the chef. At this restaurant you saw the heart and soul of Italy: families gathering together to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays and life in general. You are set in a parkland type setting with beautiful grounds. The restaurant highlights the view. The food is an experience to savor. Plenty of choices and everything is fresh. Creative blending of flavors and the presentation of the food is nothing short of spectacular. This is real artistry at work in this kitchen operated by a young and energetic chef with a creative spirit. It was a culinary treat to sample this menu. The wine cellar is equally impressive. But it is the warmth of the people that takes great food and great wine and great service to the ultimate dining experience.

That pretty much says it all.Very reasonably priced. Both the pizza and the few primi's we had over a few meals were very good. Pretty good wine selection by the bottle, and the house wines are fine as well. We showed up one night (Sunday?) around 8 and were turned away because it was so crowded. Very limited parking, but there is a sports complex (I think) right next door with lots of parking at dinnertime.

We have looked at this restaurant for some time and happily finally got there. The waitress, who I assume is the owner, is very informative and rightly clearly proud of her menu. We started with lardo with chestnuts and honey and a bacala/potato plate. Both were delicious. For primi we had a gnocchi cooked with a delicious cheese and a pasta again both were faultless and for a secondi I had tartar which was again presented well and most enjoyable. I wish the website was better as I could do the dishes more justice with their correct names and ingredients. The restaurant was full and I suspect it often is as and there is a young man assisting the owner who should be empowered to do a little more perhaps taking responsibility for desserts and coffees allowing her to spend more time with the tables who are ordering.A very nice dinner in a very nice restaurant with jazz in the background, we will undoubtedly return.....Not a place to take young children!

Authentic regional specialties, great wine cellar. Excellent and kind service. Italy at its best! Try the gnocci with spinache and speck. Delicious.

Why Capolinea? Me and my family were going around to have a nice meal and ask some suggestion to people on the road? "Go to Capolinea and you will be surprised". It's a real surprise 'cause restaurant is a very nice place. Good smiling in me and good hope that we will have a good dinner. Pizza is 1 of my favourites ever eat. We aren't so happy about appetizer, beer and fried potatoes: seems to be there only for number and not for customers satisfaction. Attendants not so quick and precise. So I think we weren't so lucky and we decided to come back to test again.

Very pretty restaurant, with lots of rooms. We sat facing the garden (appropriately enough). Very light and bright. I had the pumpkin ravioli with truffle cream sauce. VERY good. My father had a very simple spaghetti with tomatoes. They cost the same. Huh? Mine was a very good deal, his (while tasty), not so much. Oh well. Very small menu, so don't expect a ton of choices. And there is no wine list. Essentially, you walk by a wall of bottles and pick one. Umm, ok. So this means I have to ask how much each bottle costs? My plate alone was 4*, but the combo of my father's simple dish costing the same, and no wine list at all, brings it down a star.
