Ready? You must avoid eating for a couple of days....if you really want to savour a meal at this hidden little gem. For 25 Euros they serve you 30 different servings, all TOP quality. About 17 different antipasti, bruschette, salami, omelettes, beans, veggies,paté...you name it and it's there! The 2 pasta dishes are great and so is the main meat dish with superb greens. Five different deserts tastings, grappa and mineral water...all for 25 Euro. The only extra is the Tuscan wine. The service is very good and owners very friendly. Nice outdoor. Great for kids.

Quindi siamo partiti, diciamo a quattro stelle.

When a local Italian friend offered to take me to this out of the way restaurant in the outskirts of Rome, I wondered why we would go so far and on a seemingly remote road and village. But now I know the secret that Romans know of how amazing this place is. The food I ate was just amazing and left me dreaming of when I would go back again. The place was full of Italians and I ate Kyobe beef and stunning vegetables like chickory and artichoke done Roman style and fresh homemade bread and anti pasta like nowhere before. The atmosphere inside the small restaurant is divine with small beautiful decorated rooms and tables and a stunning visible cellar with incredible choice of wine . The deserts were also amazing !!! I can not wait to go again and I will certainly make this a yearly trip when I come to re from Australia each year. My Italian friend advised that it is always good to book in advance as it is very popular and you may not get a table otherwise . Definitely a Michelin quality place

Iâm not sure if it was because weâre English speaking, or because we announced shortly after arrival that all we were looking for was a quick pizza and ice cream, but by and large I felt like this restaurant treated us like an inconvenience. This place opens at 7.00 pm, and when we arrived at 7.05 pm, the staff were having their own meal. We were ignored for some time!We both ordered the âfour cheeseâ pizzas, which were tasty, the base absolutely wafer thin, but the toppings excellent and plentiful.Nice that the drinks came served in a bucket of ice. Waiting times were painfully slow as locals seemed to be treated to a much higher level of service and friendliness.Amazed that this restaurant did not have ice cream on the menu, very disappointed. We ordered other desserts, one of pannacotta with strawberry sauce, the other a mixture of puff pastry in custard. Both disappointing. We had to beg for the bill, request it from several different servers and waited ages for it.Not an expensive restaurant, but donât treat your customers like fools. G

Not too easy to find the first time but really worth the trip. About 30/40 minutes from Rome off the Via Cassia at the Campagnano intersection. The Casale is very nice, has great walks along the lake, nice B&B rooms and a very good restaurant/trattoria. Nicely varied menu, good antipasti & pastas. Great fish (Luccio) from the lake. Very nice deserts and house wine (plus wine list). Friendly & fast service. really worth going for a different evening or even a full day by the lake.
This restaurant is amazing! The food is superb, every dish is cooked with care. The service is very polite (not so common nowadays!) and the chef has a very interesting international background ((he can speak English and Spanish!). Thumbs up for the duck speck, the cheeses (carefully selected), the homemade marmaladeâs and honey. Loved the cacio and Pepe with artichokes and the skirt steak perfectly cooked. To top it all a delicious homemade tiramisù. Highly recommended. How unfortunate there is not a similar place in the City!

Our first night in Campagnano Di Roma-this experience almost put us off returning-It didn't-please see my other reviews for the best eating out in this charming town.As soon as the owner realised that our Italian was limited, it seemed that he was keen to see us leave. It wasn't just that he didn't speak English-he made no attempt to make us feel comfortable. We had learned quite a bit of Italian prior to our trip, but this does not help with specific items on menus-eventually, after much discussion, an English menu was produced-had he forgotten he had one? No smile, no friendliness, from the owner or his 2 staff. I have given a 2 star rating because the food was quite nice-if you speak Italian give this place a go. If you don't, avoid and read my review for Iotto down the road

I adore this Roman, family-run restaurant in campagnano. Dishes are traditional but fresh, tasty & exciting. I'm not kidding. Many hard-to-find old school Roman dishes such as minestra di broccoli e arzilla (broccoli skate soup), vignarola (broad beans, peas & artichokes), coratella, pajata... I could go on and on. Run by a lovely couple with occasional help from their kids. Menu changes all the time according to season. Desserts are home made by Ines. Wine selection is remarkable and affordable.

We love the Postiglione and when in Rome we go again and again , there is a truly Italian family atmosphere it is,family friendly and has great traditional food.We raccomend the antipasti especially which are generous using locally sourced products. There is a welcome to all from the owners making one feel truly special. The ambiance is pure reinassance and atmospheric.A great garden for pre dinner drinks and for the lovers of history outside the restaurant the remains of a Roman road quite intact!!! Great place!
