This restaurant is under rated. 4.4really. We all got a very friendly welcome from my 8 year-old grandchild to the oldest member of the family. The food was beautiful, absolutely no complaints from any one of us. We shall be back! Thank you all.

Visited again tonight. Ordered homemade croquettes and a portion of garlic bread to nibble on before the mains. The croquettes were excellent, bechamel, rather than potato. Garlic bread, thumbs down. Three tiny petit pans. Two with garlic butter, one missed the garlic butter altogether. Vino, apparently the house red was not acceptable, so one at a couple of euro more was proffered. Okay, thatâs fine. Mains: his slow braised beef was good. My duck confit was suddenly unavailable just as it was due to be served. Instead I was offered duck breast. No problem until I tried to cut it. So tough and bouncy one slice escaped to the floor. Oh god.... Iâm pretty tolerant but the very polite serverâs explanation that I should have ordered it rare was not a acceptable. Sorry people, but slow cooked confit of duck cannot be substituted for rubbery duck breast. Regret wonât return, despite lovely staff.

A lovely family run restaurant, very welcoming and accommodating. Food all home cooked by "Mum", and excellent quality, adapted to any personal requests, Dad and son serving- both very friendly and good fun. Visited regularly during our stay, always a great time. Fully deserves it's #1 rating as best local restaurant. Andres - add "Ay up me duck" to your "absolutely spiffing" phrase book. Thanks for looking after us. Loved the cherry liquor!!

Ate here twice, set menu three courses for 20 euro, menu a little upmarket, and very interesting. The kale lasagne was to die for! Salmon delicious and the selection of homemade desserts wonderful, apple pie a must!

Raised on a slight hill overlooking two bays this is a perfect small family restaurant, with a short menu of local dishes (many cooked on the plancha/ planxa - grill) prepared to order. Reasonably priced, the octopus and squid are great, as is the calves liver for carnivores. They do a few things very well - this is upmarket family cooking at its best. Friendly (indeed jocular) service - after lunch take a dip in either bay. Like many Spanish restaurants this is not particularly vegetarian friendly, (the choices are limited) but for others...

Gluten free restaurant
We ate here a few times during our holiday to Son bou. The restaurant was lovely, food great and the staff there are friendly and make you feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Son bou. Plenty of choices on the menu, meat, fish, vegetarian and even gluten free. For anyone travelling with children who are a little fussy, this restaurant is great for them, all 3 of my children enjoyed and ate all their meals and asked to return the next day.

I found Son Bou really soul-less - not much there and apart from the Buddha Bar they reminded me of saloon bars but in a modern style. This place was so pretty with gorgeous views and the seafood divine. The staff were delightful - happy and the men smelt very nice :)

Busy busy restaurant. We chose this restaurent because busy means good. It was good. Interesting menu and good food. Staff friendly efficient and service quick. As we were only in Menorca for a week we only did two visits. Hopefully we will be back in October

Very central location in the pedestrianised area with good service. Fairly simple menu but having initially stopped for a drink decided to eat as well. We chose a sharing platter of Menorcan cheeses and cold meats-enormous and very tasty. Everything reasonably priced and we left feeling very satisfied. Would use again.
