Informal and busy place offering a wide selection of pizza and pasta. Pros: Fast and efficient service, open until late night (rare attribute for a restaurant in Frankfurt), wide selection of pizza and pasta, possibility to take away. Cons: pizza too salty compared to the best Italian pizza, place is very basic in terms pf comfort/accomodation.

We were fortunate to have our only day in Frankfurt be a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We decided to walk along the river then through the historic district. There were many outdoor cafes and restaurants as is typical in Europe so we decided around 4:30 to stop for a bite to eat since we had not eaten since late morning. We initially stopped at a German cafe which was very crowded. We sat for about 10 minutes without being waited on so decided to leave and try the Ristorante Sardegna. Since it was not very busy we sat outside and were waited on immediately. Three of us split a pizza and had house salads and wine. The pizza was excellent and the service was great. If you are looking for an Italian restaurant in Frankfurt go here.

Though this is located in a quieter neighborhood a bit off the centre it is well worth a visit and only a short walk or Uber ride past the train station or exhibition halls.Food is excellent, fresh and authentic, menu options varied, most specialties from Crete region. They seem not to have Greek beer which would have been nice. Service is attentive and friendly. Prices are not low but fair for the quality. Reservations are probably recommended, it does seem busy.

Good, fresh Italian cuisine using best seasonal ingredients. Fresh seasonal white asparagus were much sweeter and tastier than those at the Hotel Steigenberger, for example. Fresh fish, simply but tastily prepared grilled with olive oil and garlic. Pasta was al dente. Very tasty spaghetti with fresh clams. Good service and reasonable wine selection . My favorite casual restaurant in Bad Homburg.

Penne tonno da best. My boyfriend and I looked up this restaurant because he was tempted with âtagliattaâ, and I ordered penne tonno ( penne with fish and tomato sauce). He was a bit dissatisfied with tagliatta not because it isnât wonderful but himself is really picky himself with food but for me is good the meat is succulent and it tastes amazing (if you love rosemary, you absolutely gonna love this dishes). And the penne tonno, is so wonderful, thisâs the best pasta with fish that Iâve ever had. Normally, when I got tuna pasta whether the sauce is plain or barely can see the fish, but this one is amazing..Surely gonna come back to here.

Trattoria i Siciliani requires patience but it is worth the wait. A very busy small trattoria with a real buzz. The staff know their business. There is an excellent wine list and the food offering covers all tastes and is efficiently constructed.

Stopped by this Italian restaurant (run by authentic italians) with some friends and really liked it. Attentive staff (despite full house) Saltimbocca alla Romana, fish dishes, pasta and pizza all came well made and tasty. Sure worthwhile to spend some time there.

A group of us visiting Frankfurt went there for dinner this past week. They serve an amazing variety of freshly made very tasty starters. Their mains are huge and quite filling. I went to Mediciâs based on the many enthusiastic reviews on tripadvisor. Sadly, the experience was a culinary disappointment. It is clear the chef tries to be creative and fancy, but they donât quite manage to pull it off. My starter was served with a green salad which was bogged down in a heavy dressing, with some mayonnaise criss-crossed on top. This took all the freshness out of it and also didnât look very appetizing. The scampi was really nice, but accompanied by slices of peeled lemon which were far too agressive for the delicate shellfish. The white asparagus was overcooked and quite fibrous. Hollandaise sauce however was home-made and rather lovely. With one exception (I received my first smile from the person in question when I left a tip...), the service was attentive and very friendly. The terrace is also quite nice, and in a more quiet side street. But despite these positive points, Iâm afraid that I cannot recommend Mediciâs, especially given their rather high prices.

My wife and I are retired Canadian professionals living in Frankfurt for 18 months. Today, between Christmas and New Years Eve, it was overcast and foggy and wet, and we decided to explore the narrow cobblestone streets of the incredibly beautiful little towns of Kronberg and Konigstein, with their timeless estate/residences. We had made reservations at Miro's (highly recommended) because we assumed, rightly, that the local residents would be a good gastronomical influence! Miros is located on a hillside overlooking the valley below. The exterior is unassuming; the interior is very nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, with linen tablecloths. The owner himself seated us at a table with a view.If readers look at the comments on the attached photos, they will see why we were so delighted with the meal. The flavours and presentation were excellent. The ambience is such that families will enjoy dining, as well as couples looking for a memorable experience. (Why dine at other fine restaurants where the stuffy, stiff formality creates gastric ulcers?)The cost of the meals is entirely reasonable for the high quality and absolute professionalism. We will be back again to explore the menu.
