Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Bucharest. Vlad the Impaler stated his claim to Bucharest in 1459. His citadel on the Dambovita was the first of flotillas of palaces, many of which still stand. Four subway lines and a modern bus network transport visitors and commuters. Nicknamed "Little Paris", Bucharest's elegant early 20th-century architecture shows French influences. Don't miss the Village Museum, Romanian Athenaeum and the Peasant Museum. You can't miss the Palace of Parliament, the second-largest building in the world (after the Pentagon).

Although not as busy at lunch as indicated in the dinner reviews, it was perfect for our group of seven. They were friendly and accommodating. The food was thought to be excellent by all, and plentiful. Their lunch special was choice of appetizer and entree from a list of 4 each for only 30 lei (about $7). I would definitely recommend it, as would all in our group who were very happy with the choice. Easy walk from several hotels.

Aubergine Healthy Food is a restaurant situated in the very heart of Bucharest, in the Old Town, one of the beautiful historical areas of the city. The cuisine concept is signed by Chef Ronen Meri, famous Israeli chef with 20 years of experience on 4 cont
Having lived in Israel for many years, I gave this restaurant a try. Unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed with the food. The humus was heavily diluted and quite tasteless and the falafel had absolute no resemblance to neither Israeli nor any other make falafel. We ordered a main meal that included âentrecotâ (would be steak!?) and to our surprise we got some kind of minced meat, even if the waiter explained that the steak would be âfried in a panâ !? The disappointment resulting from the poor food quality was augmented by the surprisingly heavy bill. We were charged 8 Ron (over 1,50 Euro) for a little basket of bread that contained 8 little bread slices that were not at all freshly cut. The beer (draft) was charged at the highest price that we have ever paid in Bucharest. The good service could not compensate for all of the above. All in all a very disappointing experience; a restaurant that we shall never return to.

Styled as an Italian city centre restaurant, Caffe Citta benefits from a modern, colourful look and is designed with a spacious restaurant area an open kitchen. Open during summer, guests can linger over an al-fresco lunch or dinner on the newly cool outd
We used to come often in Caffe Cita. Today I went with my family for lunch. They reduced the space and they took out the sweets. Disapointing because there were some of the best in town.We asked for:Fresh pasta? NoWholegrain pasta? NoAnyway all of thode above comes from management decision. No complin, just a matter of later personal choice.Beside the food order I asked for a Ginger lemonade(350g).It came soon in half the quantity. When I asked for the manager she never understood because it seems this size is common. No escuses, nothing. Shame on you.

Just around the corner from hotel down a side street we found a very good restaurant helped by the signs on the lampposts. A basic but complete menu offering Italian fayre from pizzas to pasta but other choices too. We went for the speciality of flame roasted rooster . Not disappointed. Beautiful cooked full of flavour and accompanied by special sauce. Served with different side choices from fries , roasted vegetables or spinach. Accompanied by reasonably priced beer and pleasant house wine the meal was filling and enjoyable and the service great.

This restaurant is absolutely to try. It is a bit pricy but this is totally justified by the high quality of ingredients and the service. We found this place while looking to have a break from meat-based menus and it was one of the best meals in Bucharest. We had grilled octopus, fried calamari and grilled vegetables. Delicious. The atmosphere is a little pretentious but we did not bother at all because of all positive things.

Pizzeria Volare is a family business created with passion and addressed to those who want to eat really good, pizza with real Italian taste baked in wood oven, homemade pasta, seafood and other Italian dishes with a fine wine in a warm and welcoming ambie
After many reviews on TripAdvisor I came to the restaurant. The pp pasta was over cooked which is not expected in a place which seems to be Italian. And the worst part is they charged me for it although I hardly tested it. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The fish I order was o.k . Good eveningWe are sorry to hear that you have encountered this in our restaurant. If you are still in Bucharest we would expect to offer you a meal from the house. The waiter is new and has not notified us. Customers usually tell us that they want the best pasta and the Chef didn't know that you prefer them that way. My number is 0766468812, I am the owner of the restaurant and I want to change your opinion about your restaurant!Thank you!
