Looking for a new Italian in the city we went here based on Trip Advisor's positive reviews.Good looking room that is deceiving from the outside. Light wood and well spaced tables made it a comfortable space.Ordered Rocket & pear salad, Salmon Caserecce pasta and Salumi pizza. Salad and pizza were excellent and good portions. Quality ingredients on all. The pizza base was just right and stayed crispy in the middle unlike many wood fired pizzas were you end up with a soggy middle. My partner enjoyed the Caserecce but found the portion size a bit small commenting that I would still be hungry had I ordered it. Had a good Valpolicella Ripasso to go with it. $130 for the meal with wine being half of the bill.Service was excellent - prompt, friendly, not pretentious or hovering.Worth noting the pasta prices at Da Guido 365 are less than their location in Lygon street.Open for lunch and dinner but closed from 3-6 in the afternoon.Very much enjoyed this meal and will be back ourselves and with friends.

What a great place to eat lovely Greek food. Service is impeccable. Menu is good.We got starter plates of feta, olives, grilled octopus and Cypriot sausage. This was complemented with house made bread stick. The octopus was tasty and char grilled, the sausage was amazing. We had the serve of Gyros lamb as a shared main. Again the lamb was tender with lots of crunchy bits. We shared a fresh salad with this.Place was packed.Good food, good service, quick service. Thanks

El Rincon is an authentic Spanish Tapas Venue located in the heart of the Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne CBD. We are open from 8am til late, 7 days, catering for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between! We have a large range of premium Austra
We went here because of the excellent reviews, and because we were staying across the road for the week. We certainly we not let down. Promptly seated and given water and the menu. It is a very small place adjoining the QV markets, and can be accessed from the market when open, or from Victoria St. Ordered the following, Ternera Al Limon; Calamares; Fried Sardines, Patatas Asadas Con Mojo, which were all on the tapas menu, and followed these with Spanish Meatballs. All items very tasty, well presented, and full of flavour. The girl chef and her kitchen are very visible and it was great to see everything being prepared freshly before your eyes.I could not fault anything tonight and we were both very impressed. Total inc two glasses of red wine, was $112 for both of us. We walked away extremely satisfied and will have to return to try the rest of the tapas menu.Muchisimas gracias! Thank you very much for your compliments & time to Review us. We pride ourselves on happy staff and delicious Spanish food being served. So happy to hear you will come back and enjoy more of the Taste of Spain in Melbourne CBD.

This has to be one of the best italian restaurants Iâve eaten at. The place is beautifully small and like a typical little trattoria. The menu is small but has something for everyone. We went with our two children and the staff bent over backwards to accomodate them. The scaloppine were tender and very tasty. Our antipasti was the best I have had and not dripping in oil and vinegar with the tastes of each dish individually distinguished. To save the best for last, they made a Zabaglione to die for. I have hardly ever seen a restaurant put that on the menu.Definitely a place to come back to as there were a lot of dishes coming out of the kitchen which looked amazing.

Cosy restaurant featuring Sicilian inspired cuisine in the heart of Brunswick East. Open 7 day a week from 6pm.
Bar Idda is located in an historical building full of charm and character. The service is welcoming and helpful and the atmosphere is busy and vibrant. It is not a place for a quiet, peaceful meal, at least on a Friday night. We chose the smaller set menu which includes a variety of small portions that add up to a satisfying amount of food. The various dressings and sauces are very good, one of the highlights. The barramundi encrusted with almonds was a stand out. There is a good selection of local and Sicilian wines to choose from along with cocktails and craft beers. We had a very happy night out to celebrate a special occassion!

I went for the $20 Veggie platter. It arrived as 2 plates, 1 large with loads of dips and a bit of salad on and the other was falafel and bready type portions - I wasn't impressed. The amount of dip on the plate even for a big eater like me was possibly too much and greedy.I found most of the meal unimpressive other than the cauliflower. The paid of us had the same and we both left half of it.Too much of the same thing on the plate. I was displeased with the table for 2 we had - the seating was squeezed together and we were practically sat on our neighbours, hearing all the conversations. The toilet area was vey dirty and if the staff are accessing this - then I wouldn't say it was the most hygienic conditions.

We loved the entire experience in Da Guido. Be the Italian dishes made to perfection and very courteous friendly staff, the overall ambience, everything was remarkable. We ordered the Calamari salad, Duck breast with cocktail potatoes, seafood spaghetti and Seared Salmon with Avocado, along with Chianti...everything was perfect! Fine dining restaurant that gives you an unforgettable experience! Keep it up.

Step back in time as you enjoy your meal in a friendly relaxed family run business.
For my last night in Melbourne I dined at il Cantuccio, a traditional style, Italian restaurant . Inside decor was very dark & traditional, very cosy: staff were all Italian. I chose Involtini, a traditional Calabrese dish: beef topside rolled with parsley, pecorino cheese, pesto and slowly baked with capers, anchovies, tomato & chilli, served with rustic Italian style veggies. Very enjoyable especially when I got to the capers & anchovies stuffing. The staff were very friendly and exuded typical Italian passion for life & food: they treat you like family! Highly recommended.

Visiting Melbourne to see family and they treated me to a Sunday evening dinner at Hellenic Republic. Simply wow! From the moment we stepped into the warm space,we were welcomed like family. The waiter ( who could be cast as the main romantic lead in any movie) was very helpful in explaining the various options. We went for the second $75 per head banquet and what a great decision. Having visited Greece three times, I am very particular about the quality of Greek cuisine and believe me, this was top quality. The waiter also generously sent us home with the left over delights as we could not eat another morsel of the beautiful food.I will be back! Thanks for sharing such fabulous feedback with us, Australian57.We couldn't be happier to hear that your family enjoyed such a wonderful reunion with us, and especially that our team was able to create such a warm and memorable dining experience for your group. It was so lovely to hear how much you enjoyed your meal and we hope you'll join us again on your next visit to Melbourne!

Experience Melbourneâs finest Middle Eastern dishes along with fresh vegan options at Rumi Restaurant. This Middle Eastern food place is known for its flavourful halal chicken recipes, Persian meatballs, freshly made salads, and much more. Rumiâs passion
We managed to book a table for a busy Friday night, it was packed, situated on Lygon Street its a Middle Eastern restaurant based on the sharing principle although not compulsory. Portions here are very manageable and you can easily eat the portion yourself. The menu was very well explained and orders taken , we opted for some starters to share, delightful haloumi filled cigars, chicken wings and chicken shish were quickly consumed and delicious. Mains of lamb shoulder , fried Brussels sprouts with zaatar and fried cauliflower with caramelised onions were a great accompaniment. A very bussling lively place again with great service made it a very enjoyable night
