Tasty tapas & a fun vibe are what awaits you at Casa Med. A family ran restaurant serving Mediterranean tapas, a super social way of eating, share & enjoy!
We have just come back from our lunch we had at Casa Med tapas bar in Bromsgrove High Street. The bar is placed in centre of Bromsgrove. We have had a voucher of £70 from our daughter at our 32 years anniversary of our marriage. We have been greeted by our hosts at the entrance. The place seemed to be from the first look very friendly and the place stuff contributed fully to this impression. Our reservation brought us at a table of two which worked perfectly for us.We have been served immediately with water and the menus were brought for order the food and drinks.A specificity of the place is that the food is served immediately from the kitchen as soon as it was ready regardless the other food ordered...In this way the food is always warm and you would have short breaks between the dishes. The place is a tapas bar with Mediterranean specific food, so we have enjoyed hummus, halloumi, monkfish, marinated chicken and fried calamari. At starter we had handmade garlic flatbread with olive oil we served with hummus. This was delicious along with the hummus balls..The entire food was seasoned with inspired and assorted spiced sauces. The drinks we had were appropriate for the ordered food as the Pinot Grigio has a specific sweet aroma. What we ordered was enough for the lunch, but we wanted to have the house desert. We choose brownies with chocolate topping which were delicious, but not really Medditeran dessert. I would recommend to the place to try something specific as tiramisu, panacota or even baklava in order to be 100% Mediterranean..You could add at dessert time a digestive drink which is traditional in Medditerean countries...and you could make this free of charge. In general, we were very satisfied with the food in terms of quality and diversity. The bill was decent as well...we still have a voucher remaining for the next time as we haven't spent the entire voucher gift. The toilet was very clean as well. The guests were focused on the food and it looks that the bar is very popular as you are invited to book upfront a table. We are recommending the place for anyone who wants to eat food specific to Mediterranean zones.Hi Danut,Firstly congratulations on your 32 years of marriage and thank you for choosing to celebrate your anniversary with us. It was really lovely to read your review. We are always so grateful when our customers take time to share their experiences with us and it sounds like you had a great time.Thank you for your suggestions on the desserts, I will pass this on to our kitchen team and head chef.We really do hope to see you again,Best wishesCatherine and Team Casa

Visited here after hearing great reviews. We ordered from the lunchtime food menu-Food wasnât the best, quite bland, fish and chips were over cooked and calamari starter was very over done too. We did say something about these meals and they were taken off our bill which we appreciated. Staff were all really accommodating and friendly, lovely interior and good atmosphere, very reasonably priced so hoping Our experience with the food is just a one off, we will try again and hopefully food will be of a better standard.Good evening,Many thanks for leaving us a review - we are really sorry to hear about the issues with your food - we do hope the team sorted it out quickly for you, and we hope the discount on your bill helped a little. We will pass on your lovely feedback to the team and hope to be able to welcome you all back again soon..

Visited the small bistro on a Saturday evening for our 45th wedding anniversary. Decor is quirky in a good way, it feels cosy, interesting and fun. They have about 25 covers or so, a bar and the kitchen can be seen through an archway. The staff - Jane, Natalie and Sharon - were extremely friendly and helpful. We were given 2 complimentary glasses of bubbles when they heard it was our anniversary. Waz and his chef were constantly busy in the small kitchen though made time to come and greet his customers personally, which was a nice touch. We had scallops, fillet steak (superbly cooked & very good quality) and paella and a shared dessert of Waz's surprise. All this washed down with a lovely bottle of NZ sauvignon blanc. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will certainly be back.
