Beautiful location and very extensive hotel with grounds that seem to go go on forever on the shore of Lago Maggiore. There is something for everyone here. Formed rock pathways snake through beautiful gardens and rocky outcrops, past the wellness centre and on to the kids play area and multiple swimming areas beneath rock pools fed by waterfalls. It really is amazing. The hotel with many bars and restaurants almost take a back seat to everything else on offer.A must visit if you are looking to stay a while or simply dropping in to break the drive, round trip Lugano - Lugano which only takes a couple of hours anyway.Dear Mr Jock,it's really amazing for us to feel your satisfaction about your hotelstay and about our restaurant!thank you for your beautiful words about our garden, our services, our Location and position: we're really happy to know that you appriciated everything and we hope to see you soon.we wish you a nice day!1your sincerelythe teamCamin Hotel Colmegna

Wauw, what a nice surprise when we entered. The atmosphere was superb, as well has the host and staff. Food itself is reasonable (example: I took the duck which was slightly overcooked for me, but the taste was still great) and price a bit expensive for what you get. However the total experience makes it worth it.

We came because of high ratings on TA but were very disappointed. We expected something special but it was a high-speed kitchen with no creativity. Mixed salad is a bowl with just carrot, salad and tomato (not even dressing), polenta bruschetta is polenta with tomato sauce or ham. Should not be in top-10 of Luino!

Sibilla Pizzeria is one of those gems that have been under my nose for years, but just discovered. It's one of the best values in Lake Maggiore area, methinks. There's really a family owned atmosphere, with some of the friendliest service you'll find in Lake Maggiore area. And man, the pizza is good. I highly recommend the Chips Margherita Pizza, with buffalo mozzarella (the animal, not the city)!!!Although I usually also order meatballs on the side, just because I can. I honestly can't put my finger on why I love the pizza there so much (ingredients? oven? secret fairy dust?), but I do.On a complete tangent, did you know that Pizza Hut once sued Papa John's for misleading advertising for its slogan "Better Ingredients, Better Pizza"? Apparently, Pizza Hut had "scientific evidence" that Papa John's ingredients didn't affect the taste of the pizza. Completely unrelated to Sibilla Pizza, but amusing nonetheless.Back to Sibilla Pizzeria. Not sure if it's because of better ingredients, but they do have better pizza than most.

Restaurant pizzeria near Lake Maggiore and the "Boschetto" park with a playground for children and also to walk with dogs. Rustic and cozy atmosphere with 120 seats divided into dining pizzeria room and two smaller secluded ones. Traditional Mediterranean
visiting the Lago maggiore, just minutes from Luino and close to the swiss border, this restaurant with nice parking offers good quality lake and seafood, well prepared primi piatti and an excellent home made bread. Service is friendly and local customers is a guarantee for the qualitz of food

Trattoria Manzoni offers only the best pizza's for a very cheap. For 4 tasty pizza's , wine and some softdrinks you'll only pay about 40-50 euro's. A steal basically! The staff is very friendly. If you're looking for a great meal without spending a lot, look no further, Manzoni is the place you're looking for!

We were staying within walking distance of this small local pizzeria and so gave it a try. It was busy with many different nationalities enjoying dinner on the small terrace. There was an extensive international beer menu which was surprising, including lots of German choices. The pizzas were cooked in a wood fired oven and everyone in our party thought they were delicious. Simple, but very well done with good flavours. The staff were very friendly and put up with our pointing and poor Italian language skills with grace. It was also very good value for money. Would recommend.

... A small corner of paradise ... How nice to be lulled by the sweet notes of the selected music while enjoying a glass of wine that accompanies dishes of tradition and innovation in which Alex and Max compete by offering their passion in the pot . The s
We had dinner with three whole families. The owner greeted us and loved to talk about the food. It was a fantastic experience. We took his advise on the primi and segundi and we were not disappointed. The tastes were great. The location is in a historic village, which begs for a stroll before or after dinner. Finished with a delicious dessert. Unfortunately we missed the primary platter of the restaurant which is chocolate salami because they had run out. So we will have to come back one day. Bring enough cash because the dinner was pricey. But sooo worth it!

We discovered this restaurant on our way to Luino. It's literally just 5 minutes drive from there. No problem with parking at all. It's a fairly large modern restaurant which is also used quite often for wedding receptions and other festivities. Therefore it is recommended to find out when booking whether there is a large group dining there as well or not. We went on a Wednesday evening fairly early (booked it for 19.00 hrs.) and by 21.00 hrs. the place was full, even without a wedding or reception !!!!!!! Despite this, we (3 people) enjoyed a gorgeous 2 course meal with water and a bottle of wine for just over EU 100 if I remember rightly. Therefore not expensive considering the high quality of the food. Service was great. No complaints at all. And of course, you have the most wonderful view of Lago Maggiore

We climbed Monte Carza near Lago Maggiore in the morning up a pretty path and then went looking for lunch but expected that we would have to return down the mountain for food. We decided to drive gingerly along some more windy mountain road just in case we found a cafe. Instead we found an excellent family restaurant serving traditional Italian country food. It has only recently reopened after a fire which destroyed it. The local community arranged to rebuild it and now it has started operating as a full restaurant which is family friendly. Indeed they are building an adventure playground. They offer a fixed menu with an ante pasta of local ham and a choice of pasta (I had the homemade pesto sauce) and a choice of a salad or a tasty slow cooked venison dish. All excellent. And a truly delicious chocolate tart with lovely homemade pannetone with coffee. The staff were really friendly and explained in good English what all the dishes were and how they were finishing the restaurant. We will return. Thank you for this beautiful review! So happy you came by and looking forward to meeting you again anytime soon.
