Find out what Mediterranean restaurants to try in Braunschweig. Also known as Brunswick, Braunschweig is, at about 250,000 people, the largest city between Hannover and Berlin. Many of Braunschweig's most historic buildings surround the city center Burgplatz (Castle Square), including the 12th-century Braunschweiger Dom (Brunswick Cathedral), burial place of the famed Henry the Lion, powerful early Duke of Saxony. Henry's rebuilt castle, Burg Dankwarderode, is also on the Burgplatz and is now a museum. The Old City Market is another popular visitor spot.

Simple but effective. Lots of choice between hot dishes like wraps, couscous dishes, soup, then salad, good variety and all ready within minutes. It's incredibly cheap, I got about 800ml of lentil soup and a foot long falafel wrap (tailored to my taste by making it mild) for 5.50€! Incredible! Some of the food (soup) is heated with the microwave, but I have no problem with that and it tasted great. You couldn't notice any grease, garlic or other means some places use to make something taste stronger with little effort. It just tastes like its components, which was lovely. And all vegan!! I was very pleased with it.

The Fischers is a very nice cafe with big windows toward the 'Ring', lots of newspapers, contemporary art on the wall and space to relax and chill out. The homemade food is tasty and not very expensive (good Flammkuchen for about 7 Euro), coffee and cakes look nice. The breakfast is unfortunately not a buffet, which makes it a bit more difficult to find what you are looking for. Thanks a lot for the five stars! See you again soon!

We went to the Braunschweig location 3 times during our 10 day stay. If you accept the premise of a self serve restaurant, and like fresh tasty Pasta and Risotto, this is a great stop. This location has tons of outdoor seating, great for people watching. The pizza is pretty good, but the Lasagna and Fungi Risotto is excellent. Cooked in front of you, and ingredients added to your liking. A few language barrier issues, but hey, their English was WAY better then my German! Great quality food for decent value.

Bravi ragazzi! Weiter so!!!

Very nice restaurant along with delicious food. The staff also is very friendly except the one who brought our food. Unfortunately I do not know his name but he was wearing a black tshirt. He is kind of short and he has a beard. Hope the manager will recognize him with this description. When he brought the food he was saying some stuff in German like as a tourist I have to know the language. But I have general knowledge to understand the plate was hot so I tried to hold the plate with caution while he was not let it go and kept holding ( the plate also was not hot at all!) and he got frustared and set the plate on the table with a rude attitude... Very pitiful for a very nice restaurant to have servers like him... Because the rest of the staff was very professional I did not want to rate the place unfairly! So if you want to have some nice Italian food you should stop by this place hoping you will not experience what I had...Ciao AltioUnlu,Just a short note to say how very sorry we are! We do understand your annoyance. We can assure you that we take your complaint seriously and will do our best to put things right. There can sometimes be hiccups, especially when we are full to capacity. We would be very pleased, though, if you were to give us another chance to show that we can normally do better.Cordiali saluti,The L'Osteria Team

This place is an oasis in the middle of a concrete business park. Parking seems to be limited because so many parking spots are reserved for the surrounding businesses. The inside seating looked very comfortable, but we sat outside and enjoyed the sunny day. The outdoor seating is large and has many tables in the sun or in the shade, depending on what is desired. The service was very professional and attentive, although not overly friendly. The food was so so so delicious! I thought that my lamb dish with eggplant puree had beef filet instead of lamb because the meat was so tender and juicy. The appetizers were also wonderful. I really enjoyed the Imam dish and the spiced and cooked sheep's cheese. Best turkish food I have ever tasted!
