I tried 4 restaurants in Bertinoro this week and this is definitely the best one.The whole environment is welcoming, bright and warm. Food is simply delicious. I had a very tasty duck breast, together with a super good Sangiovese suggested by the owner, and a wonderful water based strawberry ice cream, a perfect conclusion for the tasty dishes. Portions are maybe not big, but prices are fair, so if youâre very hungry you can try more things. I greatly recommend the place!

The best time to visit Ca' de Be is in the evening. You can catch the beautiful panoramic view while it is still light and watch the golden glow as the sun sets. The specialty is piadini a bread similar to pita with ham, salami, chick pea, potato & bacon and more toppings. Typical Romagna dishes.

3 miles away from the hill city Bertinoro that starts the sharp ridge that separates the coastal plain from the foothill lies the village of Collinello, and this is one of its restaurants. The road there runs along the ridge, on and slightly up, and the restaurant overlooks the valley, probably over 20 miles wide and some 10 miles to the sea. Excellent location for a sunset dinner. Clearly not a (foreign) tourist location though: the people who came in all seemed locals out for a Monday evening meal, most of them clearly known to the host. The reception of this tourist was extremely friendly though. There was no written menu, but with basics of English and Italian we managed. Simple and good cappelletti (what we could call:) "Bolognese" for first course, then lovely meat from the oven (leg of guinea fowl, chicken breast, rabbit leg) with hand cut chips (olive oil, salt and rosemary - who needs vinegar, ketchup or mayo?!), amaretti semifreddo for desert was beautiful. Very affordable, added up to 25 Euros including wine, not sure they even charged for bottle of water and "bread" (the local piadina Romagnola).

As we entered the town a local lady suggested a place to eat towards the center of town. She took us to the restaurant and was meet by the owner. We could not speak Italian and he had little English. The menu was in Italian but we were able to decipher what there was to choose from.We chose rabbit and beef, both were excellent and good sizes, desert was fantastic tiramisu what a great choice. The bill was not expensive, I would highly recommend this place.

I came here with a large group, so we were (theoretically) on a set menu, and what a wonderful meal it was. The location is great, and atmosphere very local, but friendly. This is absolutely not a starched and pressed, stiff formal place - it's nice, but relaxed and comfortable, simple rather than fancy, and oh boy did that work. In many ways, this was probably my best meal in Italy. The setting is romantic, the staff friendly, and the food prepared with care using local, fresh ingredients. The antipasti was excellent, and this set us up for what was to come: course after course of carefully prepared dishes, cooked very well. It's hard for me to write more generally, as we didn't really see the menu (they did swap a couple of things around during the night for people with issues with certain things), but were I in Bertinoro again, I would head to this place in an instant. Were there a six star rating for the food, I would gladly select it. There are some meals you know you will remember for many many years... and this was one of them. Simple, but delicious.

I ate here twice during a week-long stay in Bertinoro, as part of a group. On both occasions the 4-5 vegetarians in our party were well looked after. Starters included salads with nuts and dried fruits; and excellent first courses of pumpkin gnocchi or pumpkin soup. Second dishes were, on one occasion a tasty tofu burger with accompaniments or, on the second visit, strips of seitan that were a bit over-drenched in tomato-caper sauce that was too salty. The panacotta dessert was superb and just the right (modest) size to leave you feeling satisfied but not sick. The restaurant has a light and airy feel, with modern minimalist furnishings, a breath-taking view out over the valley, and cool live music. The service was great, even for a large group, and the wines were also very good for the price.

A very warm welcome in this restaurant, both indoor and outdoor part look are very characteristics and cool. I suggest to opt for the terrace in the summer period, especially for a romantic evening. The dinner was amazing, we had the "Trionfo di carne", which is really a triumph. Not cheap, but worth every cent. The waiter suggested a local red wine (from Bertinoro) which was perfect in combination with grilled meat. The only downside I can mention was the music in the background, in my opinion not the best for that kind of restaurant
