Food is amazing!! as the review before me stated big guy small kitchen haha. Definitely the best risotto I have ever tasted. The menu was different every time we went, although the choice is quite limited, but they do make a thick based Pizza which was really good and had plenty of toppings on it. Wine is sold by the bottle, but if you don't drink it all you don't pay for it all, found this strange but not a problem as we always finish ours haha

We tried the Parma ham, 24 months old, on chissolino (high pizza dough, airy inside with a crispy crust): delicious! And then the chissolino with molten Parmesan cheese, porcini mushrooms and mariola (local salami): even more delicious!! All was made with local ingredients and the combined taste was extraordinary! As dessert we had fresh fruit salad with their own ice cream, a perfect finish. The service was very friendly and informal. We paid â¬16.50 per person, very reasonable. We will surely go back!

Cucina tipica dell Appennino ToscoEmiliano
Al Fondo is an upmarket restaurant in the heart of Borgotaro , near Parma. It's owner Fabio is also the head chef. The menu is small but most dishes are excellent . Most of the food is cooked inhouse, starting with the fresh bread to the tasty desserts.I would suggest the veal with a secret stuffing plus roasted potatoes, a culinary delight. The wine menu is good and the house wine is excellent.Fabio is extremely obliging and is prepared to go the extra mile if you have special dietary requests.Provided you give him 24 hours notice he will cook you whatever you require. Very difficult to find in today's fast food age. This restaurant is not a pizzeria and you will not find any on the menu. All in all a very pleasant experience in a region where food is a religion.

My girlfriend and I made a quick stopover for a dinner along the road from La Spezia to Milan. The restaurant is cozy and warm, and so is the owner, also considering we were yhe only guests. We had 2 starters: mixed croutons with mushrooms and black truffles (good) and fried porcini mushrooms (very good). Then as msin courses chestnut gnocchi with radicchio, pistachios and bacon (again very good), and homemade tagliolini with porcini mushrooms; unfortunately this dish, the one we were looking forward the most, being Borgotaro the house of porcini, was quite disappointing, pretty tasteless, both the pasta and the mushrooms seemed stramed and not sautéed. Desserts: chocolate cake with ice cream (excellent) and mushrooms cake, this again supposed to be a local special but not at the expectations' height. Water, 1/2 local wine and 1 coffee for a bill of 66 euros, frankly a bit overpriced.

We come here all the time when we visit Bedonia. The pizza is the best you can find. The staff are extremely friendly and cooperative. Outdoor seating is beautiful and perfect on a warm evening. This pizzeria is perfect for families as you can order pizzas as big as the table to share. You can keep adding to the bill on the table which is great. Definitely visit and you will not be let down

The chef is an artist! We have been here many times, it is in fact the reason why we didn't stay last time in Val di Taro but in Bedonia. So we can eat at Speedy and then walk to our (bad) hotel.Whatever you chose: pizza or a normal dinner: it is tasty! The chef should come to Holland and teach Dutch pizzeria's how a pizza should really taste.
