Reviews on Mediterranean food in Bath, England, United Kingdom. Known for its restorative wonders, Bath was once the home of Jane Austen. Sure, you could attempt to conjure up this elegant city by reading Pride and Prejudice in your tub, but as Bath has a lot more history than your bathroom (we assume, anyway) you'd be missing out. A stroll through Bath is like visiting an open-air museum, with roughly 5,000 buildings in the city drawing notice for their architectural merit. After your stroll, soak in the natural hot waters of the Thermae Bath Spa, once a favorite of the Celts and Romans.

Housed in a spectacular former church house, the Aqua Restaurant and Bar is considered one of Bathâs finest Arts and Crafts buildings. The main dining area, gallery and alfresco courtyard provide a theatrical backdrop for the modern European cuisine. Aqua
Early evening Dinner with family was a roaring success. We were unable to get a table anywhere else and so plumped fir this spot. We ate here years ago and it was ok but yesterday we felt it has become something rather special. The setting is lovely and the service was very good. Prompt but not rushed. We enjoyed a variety of dishes all were cooked very well and generous portions. Nice little childrenâs menu which was enjoyed by my two little nieces. Clean plates all round. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place based on last nights experience. Menu is not the predictable pasta offering. Some really good cooking going on. Thanks Aqua Bath. You exceeded my expectations. Will be recommending to all.

Fine dining near to the great famous Pulteney Bridge. Enjoy the scenic winter in front of our large wood fire creating a warm atmosphere perfect with a glass of wine. Fresh food sourced locally.
After walking the quaint streets of Bath, we crossed the river and stopped at Antica for lunch. We were seated right away at a table in the window which gave us a great view of the street for people watching. The food was superb and the service very good. At lunch, the experience was on the casual side. Great wine list!Thank you so much - we are so pleased to know you enjoyed your visit to Antica.

Ponte Vecchio restaurant is set in Bath's most scenic location, with a view over the world-famous Pulteney Bridge & Weir and the river Avon. We serve the best of Italian cuisine in our elegant dining area. Our varied menu features authentic freshly-made p
Food ok but nothing exceptional. Service was lacking and there were times the service staff obviously didnât communicate with each other as things either never came to the table (drinks requested) or came out wrong. Pizza base was stodgy and chewy rather than crisp. Some of the starters were lovely, including the specials, mains were lacking though.

Traditional Spanish Tapas
We had a fabulous evening here with our teenagers, great food, intimate setting and friendly staff. Mostly high tables and stools which might not suit everyone but we liked it. The aubergine chips were a particular delight. Lots of choice for both veggies and meat-eaters. Nearby we walked by a bigger restaurant with the same name, which is closed, and were concerned that the restaurant was no longer operational but the original and lovely restaurant is most definitely open and seems to be going strong. Good idea to book.

Traditional and authentic italian restaurant
Food good; service a bit sketchy. Started well, with our glasses never running dry, then all but evaporated towards the end. Waiter actually snatched away our empty wine bottle without asking whether we wanted anything else. Took four of us about 15 mins to flag down another waiter. Still, the food was quite nice.

We are passionate about creating an authentic tapas bar experience. We created Pintxo to share our love of Spanish culture, sherry, wines and the very best Spanish produce. We don't take reservations, so just rock up and we will do our best to seat you. W
I am a great lover of Spanish food, and went here with high hopes, but this restaurant proved to be disappointing. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but the food was bland and didn't taste authentic. The Spanish influence appeared limited. From what we were told none of the staff either inside the kitchen or outside were actually Spanish, so although items on the menu were Spanish, I'd not return there.Firstly I am surprised to read your comments on the food. Considering the many others that describe it's authenticity, why didn't you mention it at the time? Regarding our team, I was pleased the staff on duty that day were friendly and welcoming. So frankly I don't see how their nationality should affect your visit. Our English staff are just as passionate about what we do. As it happens nearly everyone in the kitchen is Spanish and about half our floor staff too, including my wife Teresa. We lived in Sanlucar and owned a tapas bar right next to the La Gitana bodega. So collectively we do bring a little Spanish influence and authenticity to the bar. I have messaged you privately regarding the tapas you had on the day.

Had an early table booked for lunch to celebrate our daughters birthday. Reservations are definitely required, this restaurant is hugely popular and you can see why. The food was fantastic and the service was superb. Would definitely recommend and would happily return.

A lovely, Cozy, family-run restaurant close to town center. Warm Atmosphere, with breath-taking smell coming from our kitchen. We choose the freshest of ingredients and our food is as fresh as it can be. With a variety of options from meat, fish to vegeta
We went here for lunch on the strength of the reviews on here. Wow! The food was absolutely amazing. We felt like we were in a family home :) So many different flavours and perfect portion sizes. Our waiter was lovely and the service so quick. Thank you, we shall definitely be back again. Dear Sir/Madam, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It means a lot to us and it helps us thoroughly. I'm really glad you enjoyed both the food and the service. We hope to see you again soon and elevate your previous experience to new heights. Booking is strongly recommended. Situated just a few steps away from the Roman Baths, our attractive and atmospheric restaurant is located in a charming candle lit historical cellar of natural Bath stone with vaulted ceilings throughout, and resembles the
Having been here a number of times previously, as it is our favourite restaurant in Bath, I was really looking forward to sharing the experience with my family. Sadly it did not live up to its usual high billing as it was severely let down by the service and the limitations on the food that I can only put down to cutting costs.Service: These may seem very small, but given the previous high standards I feel the need to point these out as it just felt slap dash and they did not care. 1. On entering the resturant it was raining quite heavy so on passing over our coats and gloves before being shown to the table I asked if it would be possible to try and dry a pair of the gloves (as they have a condition that mean they suffer the cold worse than normal) and got a grunt as a response. On picking up our coats after the meal the lady had completely ignored my request abd had infact placed all the jackets on one hanger meaning the inside of all the jackets were sodden wet and the gloves had just been shoved in the coat pockets2. On sitting at the table I asked the waiter if there were any specials. Just a flat "No" was the response3. During the service the waiter proceeded to lean over the table all night, completely oblivious the people eating had to stop in order to give him space4. It was my girlfriend's birthday and there was a card wishing her happy birthday on getting to the table. Before the dessert the waiter then came up to the table and said, "What is your name?" before wishing her happy birthday. Eh?Food: Some of the dishes were still extremely tasty (eg rack of lamb) however some signs of cutting back:1. A cheesboard that contained a total of 2 types of cheese. No excuses2. 2 of the dessert dishes being sold out. No excuses when we were not even the last sitting3. 4 very small pieces of bread placed on the table for 4 people. Once eaten, there was no offer to replenish4. Previously when there has been a birthday the restaurant has given a small cake. Abs nothing offered Price: Still very reasonably priced, but I believe the costs have gone up a little. Not cheap when sides need to be ordered with steakAll other aspects (eg location, armosphere) please refer to my previous reviews
