Stopped for lunch having been before, remembering it as very good. Sadly it didnât live up to previous expectations. We were served (and I use the word served loosely) by an older gentlemen, who gutted when we asked a menu question, didnât say hello or goodbye and generally threw food and drink at us. Or at least the food and drink he remembered (or could be bothered) to bring us. Very very disappointed. Oh, the food was excellent, but the service was appalling! Hi Andrew, we're sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet expectations and we will take your feedback closely into account to correct the problems which have arisen. If you decide to visit us again, we hope you will find that these problems have been corrected.

In winter is great to have a restaurant close to the place we one is staying. Just a few minutes awaythe place where we were staying this was another restaurant suggested by Luca of Residence Les Lacs.We went for dinner and had great local cheese and cold cuts for starters. We ordered Raclette and was so good and tasteful with some local red wine A cosy place while snowing outside with a friendly atmosphere and very reasonable prices. A place that we definately suggest to visit.

Plenty of traditional Piedmontese cooking on offer at this restaurant and wood fired pizzeria. We opted for a delicate risotto, a huge portion of lasagne for the boy and the much discussed local 'speciality' of agnolotti del plin. It's a famous dish round here - pasta stuffed with rabbit and veal in a plain gravy which isn't immediately appetising but sort of grows on you. As was usual in Bardonecchia, excellent cheap house wine, a nice mixed salad and some very tasty profiteroles for dessert. Pizzas looked very good.

Although not extensive, the menu has a good selection of typical Piedmont dishes and others from other regions and offers meat and fish dishes. For those interested there is also a pizza menu. The ambiance has the appearance of cleanliness, enhanced by white tablecloths. I had tagliatelle with rage (excellent) and filet steak which was also very good quality. The restaurant has a small selection of homemade desserts and from my sampling of the tiramisu I can highly recommend them. The staff are very helpful and kind without being overpowering. They even made an effort to provide a bowl of water for my dog (my sole companion on this occasion!!).

Restaurant located in the center of Bardonecchia where tradition reigns. Here you can taste the good Piedmontese cuisine but also the Neapolitan pizza cooked in the wood oven and fresh fish dishes. The menu is a triumph of local products, and the dessert
Tonight we visited I Cusine, and had an excellent diner. Very good courses and for the children they made some pasta. Everybody was very kind and hospitable. I would really recommend it when you want a good diner in a nice restaurant.

Located half way between Bardonecchia old town and Campo Smith, La Gran Baita is a great place for dinner. With reasonably priced pizzas (which are amazing) through to hearty meat dishes (such as stuffed pork) you can't go wrong here. At weekends you'll need to book, such is this restaurant's popularity and they also had a temporary issue with their phone line meaning we needed to get cash to pay for dinner.

Last night of week meal as staying across road in Campo Smith dump, looked for somewhere 5 mins walk and with good reviews.Odd place, like a leisure centre canteen, but staff seemed friendly enough. Steak I ordered was poor really , looked like it had been run over by a lorry.Kids had calzone which they enjoyed, and prices were ok.Spag bol a bit bland but ok.Not sure how 11th out of 57 in area and worried how bad some of those lower down must be, but I guess Bardoneccia is not very good overall for food places maybe ?Wouldn't return but ok for a plain meal with the family I guess.

Italian cuisine, meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Kids menu available. A tiny and romantic restaurant just 100m away from the town center, in a quiet road. It's the perfect place for a gourmet dinner as well as a gathering with friends. The wine list has
I have to agree with Greta from Malta! Pleasant ambience, average food (although they try to present it well) and chaotic service. In my opinion, they try to make it work with not enough staff!worth a visit as there aren't many good places in the village, but not that great!thank you for your opinion

Stopped by while hiking in the Valle Stretta, which has to be one of the most gorgeous and unspoiled places in Italy (oops, it's really in France). This inn/restaurant has a nice view down over the river in the valley. Loved the authentic polenta, with good sausages and cheese. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The owner's (big, goofy) dog was sweet.

Angel fairies in ballet shoes dancing on my tongue. Ravioli in Barolo reduction. Then the veal fillet in peppercorn sauce is without doubt the best veal I have ever eaten in my life. We will come back this way SPECIFICALLY to eat in this FANTASTIC restaurant. I would give it a 10 if I could PS husband said cinghiale with polenta was stunning too
