Situated near the Schloss Bottmingen, this little Italian restaurant offers a very wide selection of Italian dishes from antipasti to primi dishes (mainly pasta or risotto) and secondi dishes (meat or fish), as well as delicious pizzas. We chose to share a pizza as an appetiser and then all enjoyed one dish - whether it was the spinach gnocchi, the pesto risotto or octopus salad, everything was really nice! Service was good and pretty quick. Nothing bad to say apart from the prices..but itâs Switzerland, so not surprising. Weâll have to come back to try some other dishes!

Arrived here for a party of 4 business dinner. We selected it to get out of tourist areas and try something local. We were not disappointed. Appetizers for our group consisted of either caprese or mixed salad which looked fresh and tasty and a Special: burrata (excellent). Main dishes were osso buco, veal, pappardelle with shrimp, and a special request for pasta with vegetables. An excellent primitivo helped was it all down. Above average.

Located in a side street 2-3 minutes walk from the Basel train station. Da Roberto is an insider's tip - we look forward to sseing you soon.
We visited on our first night, wee bit tricky to find. Standard, good quality Italian fare, the little rolls served with the salad (not sure if you get them anyway) were delicious, and the mushroom risotto was excellent. As this was our first night we were still acclimatising to Swiss prices but now can see it is pretty good value.Dear chocsEdinburghA big thank you for your positive feedback on TripAdvisor â your kind words are very much appreciated! The Da Roberto is indeed a hidden gem tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of the main square in front of the train station and we are happy that you found us. It's great to hear that you were thoroughly pleased with your dinner; oh yes, our homemade pizza dough rolls are very popular and you only get this kind of bread in some Italian restaurants. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back on your next visit to beautiful Basel!

Cosy atmosphere. Service is fast and smooth. Markthalle seems to be good choise for this kind of restaurant. All foodstuff fresh and clean. Falafel and kofta should be little bit warmer than ours? All plates made by order - good! And if you like baklava, donât miss this spot... Tested:-falafel plate-kofta plate-baklavax6

On our way to the airport we paid Vicino a visit to have diner. The service was good and friendly, and the dish we ordered (we both had the Vicino's Burger) arrived rather quickly. Unfortunately the beef was just too rare for our taste (the waiter did not ask our preference during ordering), but as we had a plane to catch, we didn't had the time to have it reheated on the grill. Also the Gruyère cheese wasn't my cup of tea, so overall it was a slightly disappointing experience. On the other hand our waiter wanted to be helpful, and offered us a free espresso afterwards (which we had to refuse due to our tight travelling schedule). Therefore I would give Vicino another chance (without Gruyère) next time.

This gem is worth driving from Basle to Münchenstein, because it's a real Greek restaurants for years now.The owners and the whoke family are serving a wonderful menu - not too many dishes, but the best of it! They never chose to assimiliate to half suisse - it's Greek, you can order diffrent plates and share the winderful meses, the salads and the dishes! We call this the Greek way! I loved it and we enjoyed it all together! The owners are so comitted and their kindness over all this year makes this place...unique! You have to make a reservation to sit under the trees in a fine atmosphere. Meat and Calamares fine! But you can also have vegetarian dishes- they advise you!To those who find the service slow:Dishes come together and we were satisfied! Why hurry? Enjoy a bit of a holiday - we recommend this place!Efcharisto poli!

Restaurant in Freidorf that is a pleasant location to have a glass of wine after a hectic day. Ambiance is nice and quiet. Service is a little inconsistent because staff is preparing for dinner and their is a shift change around 17:00, but that does not take away from from a restful place to unwind.

Been here many times, and we keep going back. Such a friendly restaurant, the owners and staff make you feel welcome and service is good. The pizzas are fantastic, our favourite is the Italian place with Parma ham. Great option for lunch and they do a lot of takeaways and deliveries.Dear Tom_em_1Thank you very much for your wonderful rating. That fills us with great joy.Kind regards.Martin

We were welcomed very nicely and got spontaneous a very nice table. The service is very professional and even if they were very busy, they managed to deliver a perfect service. The Menue is very straight forward on traditional pugliese kitchen but youbcan find some cross-over dishes on it as well. Food is actually delicious and the wines are outstanding.

I was really looking forward to go there since weeks. But I regretted afterwards. The Samboussak were served cold, the Taboule was definitely not freshly made, the servings are in plastic dishes, the beer served was most probably not the brand proposed on the menu. The decor is dating and very dark inside. The service was good though. Conclusion: definitely not the best Lebanese in Basel.
