I can thoroughly recommend this truly authentic and charming restaurant that exudes wonderful character with a warm atmosphere and ambient familiarity .Impeccable service without being intrusive, the staff really care about your choice of meal and are most accommodating. The food itself I found superb, extremely flavorsome, very traditional and not at all cliche.

The owner of our holiday apartment in Arcugnano recommended Trattoria Zamboni and I had also read about it before travelling to Italy.Go for lunch to see the view out to the trees above the lake from this elegant, stylish restaurant. We had Gnocchi with fresh herbs, Asparagus soup, Duck with strawberries and balsamic vinegar and Young Rooster. The main courses came with fresh vegetables and cubed, roast potatoes. All of the dishes were delicious and made from excellent ingredients. My husband had mixed gelati for dessert and I had a really good tisane made from liquorice, anise and fennel. It came with some tiny sweetmeats. Everything on the menu was tempting and we had great trouble choosing what to have. For the meal, two glasses of wine, bread and grissini , we paid 67 Euros which was a very fair price for this excellent meal.

It's a new place, which opened in August 2017. Great interior and the toilets were really clean. Absolut plus in this areaThe food was really good at a fair price.Just the communication was a lil difficult. The owner asked a friend of him to translate and have a really nice conversation We would have been able to order in English, German or FrenchCiaoograzie per la recensione, mi ha fatto molto piacere e molto ridere....innanzitutto scusate ma nella mia vita ho tanto lavorato e poco studiato, per fortuna c'era il mio caro amico Giulio S. che conosce perfettamente almeno 4 lingue... o voluto far intervenire proprio lui perchè pensavo vi avrebbe fatto piacere conversare assieme. ringrazio e spero un giorno di rivederVi presto! Ps: la prossima volta chiamate così mi organizzo...hahahaha Federico

Small and romantic family-run restaurant, along the way on the Berici's hill. We offer traditional dishes of Vicenza, but looking at the present, prepared with local and seasonal ingredient.
I found this wonderful place high above Vicenza south of the city. I wandered out on a Sunday and stumbled into this place. Family-run and cheerful in the way the best Italian smaller establishments are. Pretty cosy with 10-15 tables. I showed up pretty late for a Sunday but I was welcomed warmly. Some foods seen locally such as bigoli with duck sauce. The speciality of the house is actually Piedmontese (Piedmont is a few hours west of Vicenza); a boIled meat plate, with pork, beef and chicken, served aux jus, with vegetables and an array of different toppings (horseradish, Himalayan salt, etc). Lots of cuts to include a favourite, tongue. Absolutely delicious. House wine was excellent and not too astringent. Finished with a doppio. Profuse friendliness. Received a free bottle of house wine. Vicenza is near an American army base. Restaurants tend to cater to American pallets. Many are ok, but this is closer to being a treasure. If you are American and you want to experience Italian dining, this is a great choice.

What a treat the gourmet menu, you can't get it better somehwere else. (You have to fast a couple of days before) The meal went from raw fish/shell of various sorts to baked, fried etc. We gave up before the dessert.

The place is fantastic. Just attached to the Basilica Palladian, a stunning monument that releases a majestic atmosphere of the Vicenza important past. But the contrast with the very poor service of the restaurant destroyed the good sensations. I was there with international business guests and it was very hard to sustain the reliability and quality of our company service after choosing such a disorganized and not friendly place.Food was below average as well. The pizzas were not cooked enough, probably because they messed up their backing oven organization...
