We had dinner here with friends primarily because we wanted to try a local Turkish restaurant. We were seated inside., but during warm evenings there is excellent outside seating available. The menu has several interesting choices, particularly the Turkish selections. I had one of the specials, slices of beef and land with two sauces, over rice. Other foods we enjoyed were a spinach pie (great) and a pasta dish with a type of noodle I have not had. My wife had Moussaka which was tasty. The calamari appetizer was great because it did not have breading -very interesting (and delicious). My only complaint is the prices of wines are high. Service was superb. Oh, you have to save room for the chocolate cake dessert!!

On a rainy night in Springfield, twenty or so members of my tour group staying at a nearby Holiday Inn Express, decided to order take out pizza (some sandwiches, some lasagna, and some salads too) for dinner. We called in 8 separate orders and for a single delivery charge of $2, our meals were delivered in 45 minutes. Our meals were delivered hot and all of our diners seemed very pleased with their menu choices. My personal choice was a small Combo Pizza with a full salad to be shared with my wife. Our pizza was great but so generously portioned that we were able to consume only five of it's eight slices. Our salad was likewise very large and we were able to consume only about half of it. The meal was great, the price was right, and the service was outstanding. Thus, I would highly recommend Malek's Pizza Palace to other prospective diners.
Stopped by to try the Flame 'N Grill hoping for some amazing gyros. Great service and there were a lot of fresh options set out for the customer to add toppings - a la Subway. The lamb burger was ordered along with a gyro, and two fries. No onion rings were available. The gyro was a pretty good deal, about eight dollars with the fries and a soda, but the fries were extra with the lamb burger and the entire deal set me back about twenty dollars. We were told it would be about ten minutes for our order.Happy to wait for the freshness, the food was delivered in a very timely manner. They were happy to accept credit cards or cash, and everything was handled very well. The restaurant itself was extremely clean and very fresh - new in appearance. The lamb burger was exceptionally good, and well worth the price. The gyro, however, left something to be desired. Don't get me wrong, there was a generous portion of meat on the gyro and everything tasted fresh. However, the meat itself had a more...sour taste than I was expecting. Not as in 'it went bad', but more like too much lemon or lime juice was used in the making of the meat. There was a profound acidic taste to it which I was not expecting - and absolutely could not be attributed to the tzatziki sauce. Not sure why, but it did detract from the overall sandwich. That being said, I would return to try another selection. There were several variations of burgers and salads, as well as other items. The 'made fresh for you' was great - and the fries were hot and amazing!
