A nice and comfortable place. Located in Camping La Estanca, very close to Alcañiz. In a familiar and friendly atmosphere you will find a varied menu of Aragonese homemade food, with a wide variety of spoon dishes, stews, rice and homemade desserts. In ou
This asador has the great merit of being close to the Motorland Aragón race track and âaround the cornerâ of Hotel Ciudad Alcañiz, meaning itâs the best place for a friends get together after (or before - better after) a calories high consuming thrill at the track! At the asador one can find all the great barbecue calories promised by the Spanish asadores and all coocked to the liking of the host. Friendly and efficient service tops the fantastic meals. Veganâs forbiden!!

We hadn't been here since the change of ownership 4 years ago, although it seems like yesterday. Apparently it´s the same chef and he's even better and more adventurous. The weekday 3 course set menu is excellent value at 11 euros. There's another more special one costing 18.We had the former and it was very good. The starters were a delicious gazpacho and a fritada aragonesa (a courgette, potato and onion ratatouille). As a main my partner went for a second starter; a crepe filled with vegetables and I had barbecued turkey fillets which had been rubbed in garlic. The desserts were homemade and equally good. The service could not have been more friendly and efficient.....

While traveling from Zaragoza to the coast I stopped in Alcaniz for a quick look and lunch before hitting the road again. Well right across from the town's huge church I found this hotel and restaurant. They had some outside tables that were covered from the afternoon sun and like many eateries in Spain offered a daily menu (menu del dia). These daily menus are basically what in French is known as a prix fixe... you pay one price and are given a few options for 1st course or appetizer,a 2nd course or main dish and usually a dessert and in some cases a beverage. (See the attached picture to see what choices I had on my visit)Anyhow I was very happy with my choices and the lady who served me was very friendly, always smiling and making me feel like a regular even though I had never been to Alcaniz! As another reviewer mentioned it was also fun to watch the storks nesting way up on the massive church's bell towers while I enjoyed my meal (Of course the entertainment was free!).Definitely a good choice for me!

My father-in-law is originally from Alcaniz and this was the first restaurant we went to after arriving in town (and the only one open for service at 2pm on a Sunday). The food was excellent and fresh-we ordered the grilled lamb chops, the rabbit, and a salad, accompanied with draft San Miguel beer and finished with a great cup of coffee. The owners (a brother and sister pair) were very friendly. The decor is unique. And they also had free wifi.

Paradors provide excellent examples of of regional food. This restaurant was very good with friendly staff and a well balanced menu. There was an excellent tasting menu for 41 Euros but we decided on the grilled vegetables ( divine) and sopa ajo ( hearty and warming) followed by the Cazuela of Rice ( think Tangine but better) and the lamb confit. This was really very good and finished off with coffee and two glasses of wine for 77 Euros! Great food and great place

Bar to eat, where you can find a menu consisting of dishes made with seasonal and local products. You can accompany the kitchen with good wines chosen to enjoy.
Found this great place while on holiday in Alcaniz. Bar in the front and restaurant at the back. Great food at reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and helpful, in spite of our lamentably poor Spanish. Really friendly atmosphere. Would recommend a visit and certainly go again if in the area.

After hearing all the rave reviews we decided to give this a try and unfortunately was rather disappointed. The decor was rather bright and clinical for my personal taste and no background music made it feel more like a canteen than a quality restaurant. Food was nothing special , in fact my entrecote steak was chewy. Got charged for the bread (a personal pet hate of mine as I never asked for it they bring it and then charge you for it) I had high expectations after hearing reviews from friends, however I was sadly disappointed and would not rush back

Restaurante familiar, mas de 60 años de historia nos avalan. La calidad del producto y la atención al cliente es nuestra forma de entender la restauración.
This attractive restaurant is still one of the best in the whole Bajo Aragón, despite all the new competition and a marked improvement in general standards and creativity.Fidel Meseguer and wife/chef Tremedal have passed the business on to their 3 sons, but the quality is still the same. There's an extensive a la carte menu but we chose the 3 course set lunch which also offers lots of choice at 13.50 euro (plus 10% VAT).My habitas (broad beans in a tomato sauce); pollo al ajillo (chicken fried with garlic until crispy on the outside with mushrooms) followed by a slice of yogurt cake as dessert were all really good. Water, beer or a chilled red housewine is included in the price.
