This restaurant reflects the owner's passion for sharing Ligurian cuisine. Their restaurant captures local traditions and culture. Their recipes are the result of research into the public archives to unearth honest simple and delicious recipes to prepare dishes that have lasted the test of time. It's a three person operation: Margarita is in the kitchen, Noel and HIS HUGE SMILE, are out front, and Stefano keeps the tables happy. We counted room for 20 guests. Part of their passion stems from the fact that both Noewl and Margarita were active professionals who chucked in corporate life to live their dream. Noel was a graphic designer; Margritta was an accountant, a bean counter! All produce is fresh and local. The extra virgin olive oil they serve comes from their trees. We live in the south of France and we have our own trees. Their oil is better than ours. From quick fried boned sardines to a lovely pappardelle dish with baby courgettes and a hint of rabbit sausage...my wife said the pasta was "lighter than an angel's kiss" we could not have been more satisfied. We drank two wines from the Genoa area: a lovely little blanchetta and a red sauvignon. Both were superb. Noel's philosophy of how to run a restaurant is moving: the first impression must be that the guest feels welcome. Everything from the excellent cuisine to the service makes the guest feel welcome. After dinner Noel walked us outside and I gave him a bear hug. He deserved it. We will be back. The prices are ridiculously reasonable. Whitebeard83.

very nice service and tasty food, but too few mussels with the pasta. Excellent desserts: tiramisu and chocolat fondant with strawbeerries. Enjoyed the music.

Total disappointment! We ordered fish soup âalmost bouillabaisseâ as it said on the menu. In came what might be the worst Iâve ever gotten in a restaurant; some brown, smelly stuff with two fish bits in. It tasted the way it looked. We said arrivederci and left.

Had the pleasure of dining here for lunch with family & friends, and not much talking happened because our mouths were full of delicious food & drink! Wine and limoncello are a must to get here.I opted for fresh fish and appreciated the elegant presentation, as it was de-boned for me upon service.Italian fare was also enjoyed by my fellow diners, two of which were kids, who also thoroughly liked this tasty afternoon dining experience. La trattoria si trova a Col di Rodi e ha un bel terrazzo panoramico con vista sulla costa e sul mare.La cucina è buona, in particolare ci sono piaciuti gli antipasti (panissa, frittelle di pomodori secchi e verdure ripiene).Il costo per due con vino, tre antipasti, due secondi e dolci è poco meno di 80 euro.Il personale è giovane e molto gentile.

The restaurant has a lovely setting, very modern decoration and a nice terrace. The food is top quality too: the menu is not very long, but the products are high quality and very well prepared. The wine list is quite long, with many regional names in a wide variety of prices. The staff is also very friendly.

Very happy with this gem - great menu, big portions, excellent quality and good prices. Nice touches like some free tuna breasaola and an unforgettable mixed of desserts. A must. Good service, quick and helpful. We had even enjoyed some time with their in-house magician, Romar, who was good entairtenment, discreet and funny. Live music which was soft played and in the background. As I said, very happy indeed. Must book in advance.

We visited at lunch time on a very hot august day and the covered terrace with moisturizers working at full speed were very welcome.Very good food in a very chic place, we had delicious warm salad of octopus with potatoes. The waitress was very kind and we very wilingly tipped her, but the head waiter was most unfriendly and haughty, hence our not giving this restaurant top marks.
