Where to eat Thai food in Campbelltown: The Best Restaurants and Bars
For such a magnificently multicultural part of our fair city, Campbelltown has been missing genuinely good Lebanese food. NOT ANY MORE! Al Amar is a crescent moon on the horizon for the delights of this wonderful cuisine. Only just opened, there are things still being ironed out but with the plentiful, well presented and delicious food is spot on already. I've eaten there twice now, for lunch last Friday and now for Sunday dinner, I took family and I was right the first time! We all enjoyed ourselves so much. The lovely and helpful staff couldn't have done anything more and the food - it speaks for itself!Go to Al Amar for genuine Lebanese restaurant quality food and you won't be disappointed. The kofta in pomegranate are especially recommended as is the vegetarian mixed plate. The lemon, garlic chicken in yoghurt is scrumptious too. Prices are super reasonable. Actually they are remarkably low. A mixed plate for 20. Banquet for 35 pp. Popular already with local Lebanese and Middle Eastern Aussies. Your meal comes with a plate of pickles and a cup of scented, sweet spiced tea. I could drink it all day.Not licensed. Soft drinks and water available. I took one pic of my lunch on Friday. If I had done that tonight it wouldn't have fitted in the photo! Fantastic, keep it up!Maybe add some Lebanese music. Maybe some warmth during winter. In all events - go! Eat and enjoy. At last decent Lebanese food is now available in this part of SWSyd. Thanks Al Amar!
