The food is very good, the atmosphere is very noisy, cheerful, there is a band playing cuban music, prices are not expensive, but the best is the food, it is delicious!!Cons: There is not air conditioning, just fans, service is slow, restrooms are not clean

Top notch! It's a bit pricey, but everything I've had was delicious! For me it's a special occasion place for once in a while. We had grilled octopus, filet mignon, & a great salad, Save room for dessert- the coconut cake is fabulous! The owner alway drops by the table to offer good wishes. Try it!

La Capsantina is a Restaurant with a Traditional Mexican Cuisine elaborated on a Contemporary way. It offers a new and fresh concept to the Veracruz - Boca del Rio metropolitan area.
This is the nicest restaurant in Veracruz/Boca del Rio I have reviewed. Service is excellent, the menu an unusual blend of contemporary and traditional (even pre-Hispanic) and the view is among the nicest in town. We had driven past the Capsantina quite a few times before stopping because we couldn't get over the loss of a great Thai restaurant that it replaced. When we did stop we were pleasantly surprised by the menu and the presentation. There was one item which made me vow to return only a few days later: the pre-Hispanic dish, probably the only one in town. Now, I have eaten roasted crickets before purchased in small paper bags in Xalapa, and I enjoyed them, but was surprised to see them on the menu. We sampled soups (the bean soup is special) and I ordered a "side order" salad that was almost too much, and like everything else quite tasty. If you want the best view and the best service I advise not waiting until fashionably late to dine. Late afternoon was ideal, and tables with a view of the Gulf were plentiful.Hello thank you very much! for your comments. See you soon.

The combination of quality and experience offered at El Gaucho Restaurant and a unique view of the Bay of Veracruz combine to create Mardel. The restaurant offers seafood specialties, argentinean grill and internationally influenced dishes with local and
I was walking along the coast side in Veracruz, looking for someplace to have a hearthy breakfast, put the "palapas" around the Aquarium are very awful, then i found Mardel... it barley goes noticed because it has a very little sign, but as you are entering you can feel that you are in a different place; the decoration is great, the service is attentive, and the food is not out of this world but great for the city's standards, and if you add the seaview, the good quality and the overall cleaness you have a great place to have a good breakfast and to relax while enjoying it, totally recommended!

After 4 years of not visiting Veracruz, I read some negative comments about this restaurant. I'm glad I still decided to come here again. I love it!!! We asked this time "Pulpo con pure de camote", "Ceviche coco mango", "Platano relleno de mariscos", "Tarta de elote", "Ensalada de mariscos", "Cerveza Sur". 2 people $850 mxp. Would go back again and again. Hi, thank you very much for your visit and your comments, we hope to see you back soon!
