I donât know how this restaurant got such high reviews. The menu is extremely limited - tacos and tostadas, they had ribeye on the menu but it wasnât available. The hamburger was definitely not all beef. no desserts. No salads. The best thing we had was the grilled vegetables. No tapas were offered with the meal. There were 14 of us. It took 30 minutes for everyone to get their drinks. Half of our orders were wrong. Two people didnt get their food for 90 minutes. Our bills were completely wrong. And it was extremely expensive. They did suggest we order the âMexican experienceâ but $1000 peso per person for tacos and tostados seemed a bit outrageous.

Kitchen Table is a restaurant located on the jungle side of the Tulum - Boca Paila beach road (km mark 6). A wooden grill, a bar and ice boxes full of local fresh produce are the only ingredients we need to create delicious food and cocktails. We do it be
Run donât walk to kitchen table. We came here for dinner and it was absolutely fantastic. My husband and I love food, particularly seafood. This was easily the best lobster and octopus weâve ever had. The drinks were also spectacularly done, incredibly flavorful and thoughtfully put together. They also make their own liqueurs and I really enjoyed the limoncello one with their dessert platter.

Five of us came here for dinner - two who had eaten here several times, and three of us for the first time. I already heard about the restaurant from other friends who had eaten here, and was expecting a memorable evening - I wasnât disappointed!Firstly, the restaurant is not air conditioned, but with a good through breeze and large open windows, this was not an issue.... lovely decor with traditional household objects, day of the dead skulls, and some truly outstanding original artwork. Friendly, expert service. Lovely table layout, hand decorated menus, cloth napkins, lots of lovely little touches. The main courses include a wonderful appetizer plate, including local artisan cheeses, hand made breads, mini-tacos and tortillas, spicy grasshoppers with sour oranges, and a well balanced habanero salsa. The signature dish is a Poblano de Nogado, and a world class one! Other choices include a potiso (chicken stuffed with Chaya and a cactus jam), and I had a huitlacoche stuffed Poblano with a red peanut mole sauce. All incredibly well executed and presented. I was full, but the others managed to finish two desserts which were to the same standard as the rest of the food.Good mexican wines to complement the food, and their own twist on cocktails. This was probably the best meal I have eaten this year, and I will definitely be back. Itâs worth every minute of the drive out of town, and if youâre wondering about the spicy grasshoppers with sour orange, you will never regret having tried them!

Enjoyed this restaurant very much. The food was terrific. Short menu as they specialize in MEAT- beef...mostly...done in different styles. We ordered the combo plate(slab of wood) for two. Delicious!! Done to individual taste. Service was attentive and the bonus was live entertainment. If you are craving beef as a change from all the tacos/beans and salsas....this is a place where beef reigns. Had our fill and felt truly satisfied!

We had a variety of sharing type options at Sabor De Mar. Most of the menu is raw/ceviche style though a couple of fried taco options as some cooked mains. We enjoyed what we had along with the super friendly service. Particularly liked the shrimp tacos and tuna tostada.

We visited during our honeymoon and were blown away by the entire experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful and in a great location surrounded by other restaurants, bars and shops. From the minute you walk in, the customer service is absolutely stellar. You are not without a drink or wanting anything as the staff is so attentive and knowledgeable. While they do try to upsell and encourage the more expensive speciality menu, should you prefer to order from the regular menu like we did - you are not treated any differently.Everything is done with flair - even the table bread is special and unique. We ordered cocktails and several appetizers - each more delicious than the next. We are big foodies and pride ourselves in finding the best spots. Rosa Negra is now one of our top picks. If you are in Tulum - do not hesitate, do yourself a favour and eat here. Hello Janine, thank you very much for taking the time to write us, we are very pleased to know that you were able to share such a pleasant moment with us. We hope to see you again, we will gladly welcome you to our restaurant, your home.

Open for breakfast and lunch, this neighborhood classic is a must visit for tacos and tortas with fresh, delicious Yucatecan fillings. The cochinita pibil is legendary. Wash it down with one of their freshly made aguas frescas, and you have a cheap, satisfying and absolutely delicious meal.

Restaurant with contemporary mexican cuisine with an atmosphere of integration and respect to the jungle.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner here based on the high TripAdvisor ranking...and it did not disappoint. Coming during the low season, we didn't have to worry about a reservation, and were warmly welcomed in. The tuna appetizer was amazing, and the cocktails (though pricey) were fresh and delicious. While I got the whitefish - which was very good - my wife got the spare rib, which was incredible. Just a great dining experience.Thank you for your comments, we are glad you enjoyed your experience at BAL NAK'.
