Went on a whim to this nondescript, low-key, restaurant located at Langley Park shopping center in Takoma Park. We had read about it in the Washington Post Review, dated 6/10/16, recommending the pupusas...especially the Ayote con queso. And it was delicious, indeed. We ordered out. It took about 20 minutes for preparation. Kitchen staff and waiters were extremely friendly and welcoming. It was a Friday night. It wasn't too busy. We would definitely go back. The other dishes, traditional El Salvadoran food looked really good too!

A hip, festive, forward-thinking Cuban restaurant, and the first of its kind in the D.C. metro area. Bright, open, and brimming with energy, EL SAPOâs whole storefront lifts to let the breeze in. The fresh mojitos, upbeat music and bold island food really
Place is hard to find as itâs entrance is really on Wayne Ave (not Fenton which is address of building El Sapo is in). But any frustrations melted with warm & cheerful welcome by host Reynald. Place is fantastic, vibrant & trendy. Food quality is good and comes in HUGE portions (everyone was carrying home leftovers in brown bags). Street food sampler was great way to try several appetizers and lechon asado was moist & tasty. Guava tilled pastry & churros were delicious but too much sugar sprinkled on it. Mojitos was great ! Recommended.

I've been going there for quite a few years now, and always eat the same thing, Rock Fish. I always ask for it not salty. The menu is formidable; quite a lot of seafood and meat choices, all very tasty. I also have white rice with black beans and tostones (fried plantains), and mashed garlic on the side.

Outstanding! So, this was our second time going to the restaurant. The first time, the food wasnât very good. Itâs clear to me now that we went on an off night. When I posted the first review about it not being very good, the manager contacted me and asked me to come back again. We did and I am so glad that we did! The second time was definitely the charm! The food was absolutely delicious. Overall, hands down, the customer service is exceptional. Our server, Ray, as well as all the other servers, were very courteous! We had plantains, carnitas tacos, Camarones dish, kale salad and the churros! Everything was delicious!!!! We will be back again with friends! You have to go! It was not just delicious, but a great dining experience!

All of the food was very good - the pollo guisado (stewed chicken), carne asada churrasco, pupusas, yucca, veggies, plantains. The restaurant is very informal, you find your own seat after ordering at the counter. Your order number is called out when ready, but the noise and quality of the amp system make it hard to understand, especially combined with a spanish accent. But we managed, and as I said, the food was very good. Also, I got the mango smoothie, and it was fantastic!! I recommend this restaurant.

Early on a weekday evening, the four of us found Cubanos practically deserted, which made conversation a breeze. The dining room is painted in warm, tropical colors with Cuban-themed paintings all about. The staff are exceptionally friendly. And the food, especially the pork dishes and ceviche, are excellent. We had a great time.

I'm pretty picky about tex-mex food, keep that in mind. Ordered the plate with cheese enchiladas, tamale and taco. Was good, not great. I prefer Mexican cheese over cheddar, honestly, they put too much cheese in the enchiladas. Tamale was small and almost no filling, taco was a plain old taco. Was pricey fro what you get, $20+ with a soda. Chips were fresh, salsa very mild. Had to ask for tortillas, which were good.

At La Malinche, our tapas menu highlights authentic Spanish and Mexican dishes while also exploring more contemporary tapas, showcasing the very best of this unique and exciting style of eating. Come visit us in the very heart of downtown Silver Spring.
We came here strictly by chance. They have a great lunch special--$20/person--for all the tapas you want! Including delicious flan and churros. We split 7--bacon covered dates, tomato bread with serrano ham and manchengo cheese, meat empanadas, fried calamari, carne assada, asperagus and spicy meatballs. All very good. Highly recommend.
