Our tour guide Lucio recommended us to try As de Oros because it was one of his favorite local restaurant, my husband and I decided to give it a try and we thought the experience overall was great and food was delicious. The restaurant looks very fancy from the outside but prices are reasonable, average dish ranges from 20-40 soles. Our local tour guide told us that because they're very busy, their inventory stays fresh since all the groceries gets used up quickly. We ordered the Ceviche Mixto, Chaufa seafood fried rice & fish filet / shrimps AND mushroom soup. Be aware : this restaurant has very large portions, we ended up not finishing everything and took some food to go so we can munch on back at our hotel hehe. I loved the Ceviche - was fresh and delicious. Mushroom soup was awesome. The fried rice & fish filet was pretty basic I thought - nothing too special. And the Chaufa fried rice was especially fishy (the smell). I mean there were seafood mixed into the fried rice, hence the smell was strong. But I'm not a fan of fishy smell. I would def visit again though, and will order Ceviche again!

Based on the huge recommendations of this place, I was looking forward to a mixto ceviche. I was sadly disappointed, the scollops were mushy and the octopus was tough. However the fish was nice and I ate every last bite of that. Nice friendly service with a free Pisco sour.

Ica Region, Peru Food Guide: 3 Italian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Pisco
I had to stay in Pisco for a few weeks and ate here many times and the food and service were always top notch. Very clean and comfortable with music and a nice verander overlooking the main walkway, good wifi and toilets etc. Great soups and main dishes at very good prices.
Cafe Chali serves the best coffee in Pisco, Peru and serves gourmet Peruvian cuisine at an affordable price.
I have been to Pisco twice (Once to volunteer, and once to visit friends), and I can only say the food at Cafe Chali is amazing! You really do get gourmet Peruvian cuisine presented beautifully, at a very reasonable price. I found myself overwhelmed by the amount of food served. It was a struggle to finish everything on my plate...but I worked very hard to because the food there is simply delicious! One of my favorite dishes at Cafe Chali was the ceviche. I also had potatoes with ahi sauce and other dishes that were fabulous. Their lunch menu changes daily, and they have a fixed evening menu that offers sandwiches, desserts, and various drinks.Cafe Chali is not in the main area of the Plaza de Armas, rather it is off a side street, but it is well worth the time to find Cafe Chali, and at the very least, enjoy the best coffee Pisco. And...if you're going to have a coffee...you MUST try the desserts Chali, the owner, makes himself on a daily basis. Absolutely delicious!
