For some, a tour of the Queen Mary, docked here since its retirement in 1967, evokes waves of nostalgia for the days of the huge ocean liner with its opulent rooms, 1930s deco décor and teakwood decks. Others, particularly the younger set, are entranced by the spine-tingling haunted ship stories on the nighttime ghost tour. But for everyone, a visit to this floating hotel and museum is a must on any trip to Long Beach. At one time a less-than-appealing place to visit, Long Beach has transformed itself into an upscale tourist resort, with many waterfront attractions, including a new, state-of-the-art aquarium with a fabulous shark exhibit, two excellent art museums, charming shops, public golf courses, the annual April Grand Prix international auto race and lots of recreational activities along its eight-mile stretch of beach. Take the kids to the waterfront entertainment complex with rides and live performances or to the farming demonstrations at Rancho Los Alamitos. Feeling romantic? Cruise the canals of Naples (that's right, Naples Island in Long Beach) in a genuine Venetian gondola. One thing is for sure: tensions and stresses dissolve in this laid-back, friendly city.

Our experience at Gaucho Grill could not have been more perfect; from the friendly and warm welcome to the fabulous service throughout the entire evening. Our server Adrianna was absolutely lovely and very informative about every menu option that we inquired about. Amazing evening and a rare find for us with outstanding food and service combined with cozy and thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere. Can't wait to come back!

I discovered this place while on my daily walk for exercise and decided to try it for dinner as we had never had Peruvian Cuisine. Our waitress, Rosita, was a delight and very patient and attentive. I had the Seco de Res (short ribs), my wife had the Lomito Saltado (beef tenderloin) and our friend had the Pescado a lo Macho (mixed seafood). Everything was excellent but be aware the Pescado a lo Macho is pretty spicy. The two standouts were the Causa Cocktail and the french fries, which were some of the best I've ever tasted. The place had a nice ambiance, great service and outstanding foor. We will definitely be going back.

Fabulous restaurant, great live music, heaters for outside seating, fantastic service and delicious food. One person in our party had crutches so we needed the shortest way to the restaurant from our car. The shortest way was parking by "John Garey Fitness and Pilates" and taking the sidewalk pathway to Playa Amor. We initially tried to park by BevMo, but this was a much longer walk. Construction at this location should not deter you from eating here. It just made finding the restaurant more of a challenge. Hope you get a chance to eat here. We loved our dinner here!

We went to the Flamenco show with our friends a couple weeks back. We first visited the bar downstairs, and it is like stepping into a little bit of Spain. Great decor, very good curated drinks, tasty Sangria, and many diners were eating here for dinner or drinks and appetizers. Upstairs was the Flamenco show. The performers were on a low stage next to the dining area, with great views for everyone. And they are very talented at the music, song, as well as dance. The fixed price ticket gives you the show, and a 3 course dinner featuring an individual paella (seafood or vegetarian). You can add on your drinks, and appetizers, off the show menu. All in all, with everything added in, it was still a great price per person for the food and the show. Several of us at the table are paella cooks at home, and their paella here is very good!Hi George!Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback with us! Your review is important to us in making sure that we are delivering a great dining experience for our guests. I will pass along your positive sentiments to the team about your great time at the dinner show! Thanks again and we hope to see you at the restaurant again sometime soon! Just visting Long Beach overnight, a friend found this cute little place near our Air B&B. My husband tried the Beerito to quench his thirst and he's been ranting about it ever since. Not being too much of Mexican cuisine experts, we relied on our friend to suggest a few items. I tried the evening special of a choice of two Tomales, my husband had Chicken Chiquiles with a side of Black Beans, and my friend had Pork Carnitas. All of them were so delicious. I couldn't believe the amount of pork my friend had on his plate! My husband was so impressed by the "Beerito" beer he had..thirst quenching and a definite compliment to the meal.

What a treat! We were coming off the ferry from Catalina and asked the parking attendant for a great Mexican restaurant. She sent us here and I wish I could go back and kiss her for the recommendation! The Waze app brought us right here. We were quickly seated. Chips and salsa had a spicy sweet kick to it. I got the lunch special Taco Dorados y Enchilada. It was a crunchy beef taco and chicken enchilada with green sauce. The crispy taco looked home cooked and the soft taco was so soft and buttery. Beans and rice accompanied and drinks were included. Everyoneâs meal came out but mine. We think they just forgot it. Luckily we didnât have to wait long before it arrived. The meal was wonderful. Restroom was single person only. It was clean.

We stopped there twice to enjoy some drinks and food on their open patio. It's a feel good place. The servers were all delightful, with big smiles which added to the enjoyment. If you are only hungry for appetizers I highly recommend the Quesadia Barbacco. They make a good Mai Tai and Margarita too. The views towards Long Beach and the Queen Mary are excellent.
