I like spicy food. I was not disappointed! I had cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Everything was delicious. The enchiladas were not rolled but flat. I've never seen that. I asked our awesome waitress Wera about it and she said it was the normal thing. ??? I've been all over the world and never seen flat enchiladas. Regardless, they were good. My wife had a combo plate that she enjoyed. I tried one of the beef tacos and agreed with here that the meat was a bit bland, but some salsa fixed that.Service was prompt and friendly. Parking was easy on the street or behind in the parking lot.I'll be back the next time I'm through Las Cruces.

Great traditional mexican food. Chicken mole was amazing. Plenty of vegetarian options. The vegetarian enchiladas with red sauce were tasty. The grilled fish tacos were decent. The welcome soup (sopa de fideo) was good, lentil soup was good, beans and rice were good. Wait staff was super friendly and I never saw her once, not smiling. Service was quick.

Would have been a 5 if they had more than a beer and wine license! Pretty extensive authentic New Mexican food. Something for nearly everyone. Local favorite. Moderately priced, great salsa and friendly staff. Always try to find out where the locals eat. Never disappointed. If you like it hot, you can certainly have it your way. I'll return!

One of our party had been to Paisano Cafe several times before but she could not make recommendations because she does not venture far culinarily. We all liked the green salsa served with the complimentary chips, nice building heat but not too hot . The red salsa served with the Carne Asada Tacos was explosive heat and too hot for the person who requested the coolest salsa they had. I was much hotter than the green. Three of us had different Moles with Chicken Enmoladas. All the Moles were good particularly the Poblano and Mancha Manteles. I did not like the Mancha at first but it grew on me and I ended up liking it best of all Moles. Staff was friendly but not as attentive as could be - I had to signal the waitress for service twice, once to take the order and again for the check. They have a very interesting menu and I look forward to trying some of their other dishes. Prices are decent for what you get. I was a little disconcerted by the food splatters on the wall next to the table.
