Las Brisas Mexican Restaurant & Catering is a family-owned restaurant that opened its doors to the people of Greenwood Village, CO in 1987.
We had dinner here at Las Brisas recently, not our first time. This time I tried the Enchiladas De Mariscos but subbed blue corn tacos for flour and chose the lobster sauce. It was absolutely delicious! My husband had Plato De Combination. The food isn't run of the mill Mexican, it is much more creative and flavorful.

We have visited a few times. Conveniently located in the DTC, and fairly near Cherry Creek High School. Great options for vegetarians, fish eaters, and meat eaters. The various use of plantains is delicious. We get the food to go, but you can also dine there.

I have always been wanting to try Maria Empanada, but do not make it to the S. Broadway area often as we live on the south side of town. As I work in the DTC, it was a great surprise to see that Maria Empanada now has a DTC location just off of I-25 and Belleview. My colleague and I decided to have lunch there yesterday. My colleague had eaten there before and was looking forward to breakfast empanadas, sadly they were out by the time we arrived for lunch. Nonetheless - we ordered what was there. I was in empanada heaven.I had the ground beef empanada; and the spinach empanada. Both were amazing! I will say that we ordered some sauces on the side - the chimichurri and the spicy mayo. chimichurri went well with the beef; spicy mayo was fantastic with the spinach. You don't need much; it just adds a touch more flavor. Amazing! We also each ordered one of the pear empanadas for dessert - oh my! Like a little fruit pie bursting with flavors. Pure heaven. We also enjoyed sharing a pot of the Yerba Mate tea; it rounded out the meal. However, we had already ordered the Yerba Mate by the time we walked around the counter to pay for our meal - and then saw the beautiful carafe of sangria on the edge of the counter. Next time - we are TOTALLY ordering sangria to accompany our lunch! I will definitely be back...
