Had a fantastic experience here - the fajitas were outstanding and the queso was among the best I've ever had. Good margarita as well! Excellent service.

We chose El Alma randomly because it had a rooftop patio. We had to wait nearly an hour but weren't in a hurry so it didn't really matter. We were able to sit on the multi-level rooftop patio and really enjoyed the view of the Austin skyline, good food and good drinks. Our waiter seemed annoyed to be there but maybe he'd had a bad day. It didn't keep us from having fun.

The food was pretty good. I asked for chips because I hadnât eaten in 9 hours and was told they didnât have them. Then later the served chips to the woman at the next table. I have written this review while waiting for my bill after asking for it. Eh, donât need to come back here. Unfortunately, we don't serve complimentary chips and salsa. We do offer chips with guacamole and ceviche, which is what the guest at the other table ordered. We understand that the experience can be frustrating when you haven't eaten in a while, but we hope you'll consider giving us another try on your next visit when you're in town.Best,El Naranjo Team

We had a decent experience here. Had a wait on a Saturday evening but we wandered around the area before it was time to eat. The food was pretty good but slightly overpriced (as I'd imagine most places around downtown are).
