We just happened into this hole-in-the-wall place for dinner. And boy what a surprise. It is family operated, and everyone plays a part. This was the best carnitas I've had, and the mole was excellent. But you haven't lived until you've had a plain old silver margarita here. I had two. This is one of those places that you are served so well with such good fare that leaving a 100% tip or better would feel right! It's humble, quaint, and absolutely delicious.

We enjoy breakfast on Saturday mornings. They have great menudo. Prices are fair and reasonable . You have a large menu to choose from. Small seating area and can be busy at times. Parking is also limited.

I was invited to attend a presentation that was going to held at Calavera. The presentation was in a private room with the door shut. I mention this because service was not that great, but understandable since they could not see into the room and would have had to interrupt the presentation. We were given a choice of about 5 items. I ended up selection a dish that I may not have ever tried. It was delicious and large. So besides the salad, chips & salsa then the large entry they also serviced desert.Very please with the experience.

Located in the Safeway Plaza, in what used to be Brandi's Kitchen in Cottonwood, Az.
I was out running a million errands and was in need of a late lunch. I still had more to accompolish for the day so I was in a bit of a hurry. I did NOT was fast food and I did NOT want a restaurant that would take forever. I stopped in El Patio for my first time ever. I ordered my favorite, a Cheese Enchilada and Beef Taco with rice and beans. Very surprised at how good it was, especially the enchilada. I even enjoyed the taco more than I expected. The place is small but also has outdoor seating. The furnishings and paint have a lot to be desired, but I was there to eat, so I overlooked the decor and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I didn't expect that I'd want to ever go back, but I do!! and I will be back. The cost was cheap compared to many other Mexican restaurants for the same dish. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. A little gold mine for me.
