What a disaster. I came to this venue with a group of around 25 people. We were seated around 830PM, and our menu was fixed, with appetizers and choice of entree.Appetizers consisted of chips with salsa, chips/bread with guacamole, and ceviche. The chips came out first with the salsa. The chips came in small sized cups, and was to be shared with 4-5 people, it appeared as they only brought out 5 cups. The chips and guacamole came out about 20 minutes later. This plate also had to be shared with 4-5 people, and there weren't enough chips as well. The ceviche came out last, about 90 minutes after we had seated. The ceviche was also a joke, and it came out with ceviche on 6 spoons. Literally 6 spoonfuls of ceviche, and various types of ceviche, but no clue as to what was what. Needless to say, not much of an appetizer.Around 1020-1030 (restaurant closes at 11), dinner was served, however, several plates, including mine and the host's was served much later than everyone else. People were done eating by the time we got our plates. And because it was a fixed menu, it wasn't like we ordered something different and complex. All the entrees were a disaster. The Lomo was served without rice, since they seemed to have run out of rice (like wtf? and it wasn't even busy on the Thursday night we went). The mahi-mahi was served without rice for the same reason. We were given salads as a substitute. The seafood was severely overcooked. The shrimp was chewy and the fish needed a knife to cut through. The only saving grace for the entire evening was that the wine actually tasted good. There are some good Peruvian places in Miami to eat. This is not one of them.

Staying at the YVE Hotel and asked several people where we could get a good Cuban sandwich... 3 different people immediately said La Carreta! Had a traditional Cuban sandwich, white bean soup, and dessert... EVERYTHING was delish and the wait staff was very attentive.

the saga of the old traditional Cuban venues in Miami. The perfect substitute for the tiring, outdated Versailles. Great Cuban food, good portions...almost home made like...and a fantastic location. If you are in the search for one of the best cuban sandwiches, this is the place

We had a great evening with friends who live nearby and recommended Versailles. Because we were enjoying the companionship I didn't worry that much about my food. My husband enjoyed his Seafood Casserole Au Gratin, but commented that it was a little heavy.I had the Classic Cuban Sampler (White Rice, Black Beans, âPicadilloâ Ground Beef, Roast Pork, Sweet Plantains, Ham Croquette, Cuban Tamale, and Cassava with Cuban Mojo) because I wanted to try a little of everything. I will say that everything was lukewarm. But all the dishes were flavorful and interesting. None of us ordered an appetizer or dessert. We shared a pitcher of the red Sangria. It was OK, but a little odd . . . not much fruit in it.Service was a little ho hum, but the food was served promptly and we were enjoying ourselves too much to worry about a server who was less than charming.

This is located in an ugly building which houses several other business. At night there is quite a bit of parking space but they reserve it all for their valet parking. The food is very good. Fresh and generous portion of ceviche, the fried pargo looked great (but the yuca and tostones were a little on the oily side). Several good beers on tap. There is outside seating but it is directly on 8th street which is busy and noisy.

Walked to the area for dinner, popped in here after the Peruvian place had no tables available. Had sangria, quesadilla de marquesa, ceviche vuelve, mole poblano - everyone enjoyed their selection! Atmosphere and service were very good, prices reasonable ($70.20 for 3 plus tip)We are thrilled you had an excellent experience with us. Our goal is to have each customer that comes through our doors to have a similar experience as you did. We look forward to seeing you again.

The food was so good we went back two days later for more! The menu is so extensive that there is certainly something for everyone. We ordered Paella, which was deliious, salmon in orange sauce, gorgonzola chicken, avocado chicken, a steak and a burger, all of which were praised by those devouring the delicious meal. Portions are big and delicious. Staff was very attentive to our every need. And on top of everything we ordered desert. Be forewarned that you need to plan desert into your meal as the deserts are huge and delicious! We landed up leaving the restaurant on both occasions with lots of take out containers and we did enjoy the left overs for lunch the next days.
