Meaning “place of divers,” Bucerias on Mexico’s Pacific Coast is a charming antidote to the hustle and bustle of nearby Puerto Vallarta. You’ll meet the friendly locals and enjoy beautiful beaches, fantastic dining, outdoor activities and art galleries. Locals congregate in the small plaza in the center of town or head for the beach for some sun and unfettered mountain and bay views. Beyond the beaches of Bucerias, you’ll find superb dining, flea markets laden with special treasures, art galleries, and pubs. Once you’ve tired of the sun, meander through the flea market off the main plaza and tour the residential side of Bucerias, complete with boutique shopping and quality restaurants like La Quinta di Francesco and Adriatico. Some of the best art galleries in town include Splurge Art Gallery, showcasing emerging local artists and designer pewter. On Thursday evenings, participate in the local art walk, and on Sundays, visit the authentic Mexican market. From Bucerias, explore other Riviera Nayarit locations such as Savulita, Punta Mita and San Francisco – they’re all accessible by cheap, frequent bus service.

For 22 years, we have been serving visitors and residents tantalizing local dishes with a focus on Tacos and Tortas and are proud to be Bucerias' favorite street food. We also make a Mexican style Hamburger that has ham on it and typical favorites like Gr
My wife and I like to walk to Bucerias for dinner in the town square. Fortunately the vendors were not ready when we arrived. We asked a local where they like to eat and they recommended this place. It is two blocks to the north of the town square, same road as the front of the church. They are on the north/west corner. Just look for the guy cooking on the old car rim, hence the name! Don't let this detour you from trying it. Everything is clean and the owners are very friendly and service is quick.I started with three tacos de asada, delicious. My wife had two and then added a torta. We shared the torta. We each then had one more taco de asada. I could have eaten three or four more, they are so good. I would think for the average person three to four tacos would be enough. The tacos are 10 pesos each, less than a dollar! We brought our own drink which did not seem to be a problem. Lots of locals were eating here as well. We will probably hit it one more time before we leave. They are a four mile walk along the beach from our resort, but well worth it!As the other reviews say, this place is right on the street, though there is indoor dining. You should not go here for atmosphere, but for the great food.

An outstanding venue for breakfast if you like authentic Mexican eateries. Donât let the fencing or plastic seating put you offâthis is excellent food with both Mexican and âAmericanâ dishes available. Mango smoothies and motuleños are both great, and so are other dishes. Staff speaks English. Prices are really low for what you get.

Great food and great prices. We've been here a number of times..it's great to be right on the beach and stick your toes in the sand. The grilled garlic fish fillet is delicious..and the prices are so reasonable..the seafood is fresh and ample in portion size. It's a lively atmosphere and you can always count on "David" to keep the music flowing..however, be prepared to be approached by MANY MANY vendors selling their wares (I lost count at 40)..even though there are obvious posted signs saying "No compro No Molestar".

We spent our last night in Bucerias at this restaurant. A request (kiddingly) for a romantic dinner on the beach with candles came true. To our delight, we had a lovely table on the sand with large sand candles on either side of our table. As a lot of tourists had gone home for the season, we were spoiled with great service and great food!

This is a little space with plastic tables and chairs but wonderful authentic tacos! The tortillas are made right as you order them. Several choices of fillings from seafood to meat. Delicious condiments consisting of hot salsa to milder choices and marinated napal cactus. The tacos are served with a side of baked beans. Take your own wine and beer!

We went our first night in Mexico for a late night snack. Very good pastor tacos. Quick service. Reasonable prices. Was allowed to go to the oxxo and grab some beers. Nice sides and sauces, as you would expect out of a legit tacos place. Will return.
