The selection is good and the taste is splendid too. Good service, reasonably priced and located in a very strategic location. Even though it is a Korean restaurant, 90% of the customers are local and this means they have done very effective marketing programme. Staff are attentive and the place is neat and tidy too.

Discretely tucked away in a predominantly residential area, Masil serves large portions of authentic Korean food. There were 10 people in our party and they accommodated us without batting an eye. The menu offers a variety of choices and out table was crowded with entrees and side dishes. Service was attentive without being obtrusive and our requests were promptly satisfied, even second and third orders of the dishes that were consumed most rapidly. I've never been a fan of Korean food, but Masil could easily change my preferences. Also worth noting that parking was abundant even on a rainy Friday evening.

After a couple of attempts with the queue and parking we finally got to eat here over the weekend. The place was packed but we were pretty lucky. We ordered the usual Samgeuypsal to be cooked on the table. Although the food is okay, the sides and lettuce are refilled twice. What destroyed the experience was the amenities and the horrible service. We were seated on a table that seats 4, luckily we could stay on one side of the table cause the air conditioning unit was dripping on the other side of our table. The place is also not that very well ventilated so there was a film of smoke in the restaurant. The service is HORRIBLE. Although there were service members who were trying to cope up with the busy dining experience, we couldn't help notice that service was very uncoordinated and all over the place. 1. we asked help to cook our meat, the server placed them on the grill then left us on our own and that was it.2. Made an order for a 3rd dish right after our initial order which involved at least 3 follow ups to deliver on the second half of our meal (the dish was only steamed egg). 3. Refill of lettuce, garlic and sesame leaves where the service attendant put a bunch of lettuce on our original plate, did the same when we asked for sesame leaves and the same when we asked for garlic (we asked for the whole plate to be refilled).4. Asked for a refill on your sides when it was running low and they took away the dishes still with its contents to replace with another (the 3rd refill will be charged). To be fair, not all staff members were like this but it was the majority of the whole dining experience. Yeah the food is just okay but if this is the kind of service you're getting at these prices I can recommend at least 3 in the area that you'd be paying less and getting more and wouldn't have to bare the same dining experience. (Look at Masil, Matgalne, Ye Dang and even Ba-bi) I can't recommend this place as an option, I hope management trains their members better. Never again

I've been on a Korean BBQ Spree with my girlfriend the past two months and this was one we've been meaning to try since its quite popular and has recently been in some social media frenzy due to some known showbiz personnel that mentioned negative things about it. (sorry, I have no comment on that) The place is easy to find, its around our area and we've been passing it frequently, also heard some pretty mixed reviews about it, so I guess its only fair to share my own thoughts. The place is a little aged, it can use a little bit of renovation and cleaning. but if you're after a good Samgyeopsal fix, this is pretty decent. Now, I wouldn't say I am an expert but we've tried some fairly popular ones in the metro and in Seoul so I'll just share my thoughts and you can have a go at it yourself. First, you might get turned off with the idea that the "ssamjang" (side dishes) will only be refilled once with only a choice of two, second the lettuce is non-refillable (but only 50 pesos for a second order). We had two orders of Samgyupsal (Korean Pork Belly) so we were given two servings of the lettuce and told that we can refill the sides twice choosing any two. Bottom line, the servings were adequate, so in reality we only asked to refill once and only ordered a second serving of lettuce once as well. Their red bean paste is very tasty, tastier than all the others we've had locally and distinctively the same as the ones we've had in Korea. I need to mention as well that their BBQ is cooked in coal and not with the gas burners others have and for me this is always a plus. The service isn't bad. I found the staff and the owners (I believe they were the owners? - The two Korean Ladies) were actually very attentive and were even hands on in delivering where the regular staff could not. Its just the place that needs a bit of a renovation to keep up with the times I guess? Pricewise, their BBQ meats aren't expensive, the extras we're more used to, are something you'd have to pay extra for (Like the red bean soup)I wouldn't say no to this place if I didn't have the option to eat in the other places I've been. If your into Samgyupsal this is a place you should try to give fair comparison to other places as well. So considering the food, the service, the atmosphere and value what you get for your money, its not BAD but its not the BEST for me.

This restaurant is known for the multiple themed buffets that they offer. So making it a habit to eat here is not impossible for they are known for their Spanish and Korean buffets but there are days that Chinese, Japanese buffets are served and in my case for this Mother's Day celebration, it was my favorite theme which is Italian. The ambiance is perfect for family get togethers with three private rooms but the main hall itself is a show for no table setting are alike. The chairs vary and the type of table which fits the number of guests. The people who eat here is also a plus like a place for educated people only. No one is rude and the staff is extremely pleasant. The design is eclectic to fit any buffet they offer. Food is wonderful in a quiet , intimate setting. A perfect place to celebrate anything special. The price is mid range for an Ortigas Hotel based restaurant (Keep this fact in mind). So that makes it worth every centavo spent.
