Reviews on Korean food in Fairbanks, Alaska, United States. Its far north location means Fairbanks gets the midnight sun in the summer and the northern lights during Aurora Season (August to April). These wonders define the city, along with winter activities, the gold rush past, Alaska Native heritage, a vibrant arts scene and “golden heart” hospitality. Enjoy dog mushing, panning for gold, floating the Chena River or visiting a museum. Add a nearby trip to a hot springs, Denali, the Arctic or the Interior. Fairbanks is the gateway to discovering Alaska.

This place is downstairs in the bowling alley, which is enough to scare plenty of people away- but that is part of the charm in the place! The food is tasty and seemingly authentic- just don't let the location scare you!

Wow. That was the best pho I've ever had, and I've had a lot. Pho tends to be too high in sodium, but this was just right. Try the seafood pho. You'll be glad you did!

I have been to this restaurant just once and that was for lunch. The lunch menu seemed fairly sparse. Most of the offerings were some form of bulgogi. That isn't bad. Bulgogi is one of my favorite dishes, but I selected a noodle based dish with stir fried pork. I didn't see any "bap" on the lunch menu.Others were mostly ordering bulgogi and seemed satisfied, but I can't speak for that personally. The side dishes could have used a little more spicy heat, but were otherwise tasty. The food was reasonably good, service was prompt. I prefer Seoul Gate, but I will go back and try Jung again.
For dinner, I had the shrimp tempura which included vegetable tempura, white rice, California rolls, and salad. The dinner was excellent and had a beautiful presentation. There are two restaurants connected. On one side is Korean food and on the other side is Japanese food. My friend and I had dinner on the Japanese side. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great price and dinner portions are large.
